I installed "Bearing Buddy" on a very old boat trailer that I was taking on a fairly long trip. I was afraid the bearings might run a bit hot as they had gotten quite warm on a much shorter trip even with an ample amount of grease. The bearing buddy really helped as I was able to drive 70 miles a hour on the freeway and the heat generated was very minimal, hardly noticeable. Another thing I liked was when launching the boat I did not worry that dirty water would get to the bearings. Just the peace of mind this gave me was worth every penny of the cost. They were also easy to install, I recommend them highly

Many cheaper options but this is a genuine Bearing Buddy, and stainless, so should last

I replaced the old original BBuddies on a '94 Zieman jetski trailer with these. They weren't junk, but we're just so old and cruddy. New ones went on with some good hits with a rubber mallet and look great. They do their job with keeping the outer bearing greased and purge the water logged grease out with a grease gun. There's a reason these are factory installed on so many trailers.
