This is the first Christmas for our 3 young cats and although they weren't trying to climb the tree (yet), they were way too interested in the ornaments. I wasn't excited about having a baby gate around the tree but this is a great choice. I think it's very unobtrusive and I don't have to stress over broken ornaments, or worse.I have to add that the packaging was great and even included a handle on the box. That was handy because the box was not light. Each panel had protective covering to peel off. This thing is substantial! I did not apply the feet that are included because it's stable enough the way I have it positioned and with it on carpet. Since my tree is close to the window I did not encircle the tree at the back, although I could have. I wanted to have some space between the panels and tree to help keep the ornaments out of reach. I just brought it up to the windowsill. Since my cats can step from one sill to the other, I did have to block that area to discourage that possible access.I realize this isn't the intended use for this pet corral, but it sure works for me. I had concerns about the 24" height not being enough, but it is. My cats are jumpers but there's not enough room for them to clear between the panels and tree. Also, I've seen them raise themselves up against it but they can't get close enough to reach any ornaments. BTW, my cats are 8-10 pounds but the panels didn't wobble. For reference this is a 9' tree, but it is a more slender one. I don't have a need for the built in pet gate. It would have been great to reuse this after Christmas to replace one of my slatted pet gates, but it's not as functional for that since it doesn't have a full panel gate so that a person can pass through. I suppose we could just push it open from the side, accordion style, then close it. I'll see if that's practical later on. It was a little pricey but I see the quality. It's worth it to alleviate the worry and I don't think it detracts a lot from the tree. Anyway for my purposes for Christmas, this is a win!

Is there anyway to buy a bolt latch because mine broke and now the puppy is getting out?

This is a beautiful dog playpen. The only problem is the hardware breaks very easily. We've already snapped two or three and now the dog can bust through the acrylic panels. Our puppy also outgrew this very quickly, so make sure your dog is small if you're planning on purchasing this!

Purchased two of these on October 5th over the traditional style because I loved the look. Frustratingly, they both are completely broken. One of them broke almost right away and the other one just broke on December 2nd. I don’t recommend this unless you plan on never touching or adjusting it.

Crafted with high-quality materials, this boasts thick, sturdy panels that are not flimsy. The assembly process is quick and easy. It’s also easy to clean and resists scratches. The only minor issue I encountered is that the locking mechanism can unlock if your pet repeatedly pushes on the door. This can be easily resolved by using a rubber band. Overall, this is a worthwhile investment.

In our household, we have fostered cats and trained dogs. Therefore, we have used a variety of playpen systems. This unique, acrylic multi-paneled set includes the hardware to adapt it to multiple uses. It is very sleek and attractive. I find it VERY useful that I can see inside from afar. It has a door which is super convenient for getting larger/older animals inside. The walls of our playpen fall just at our pitbull/mastiff mutt's chin. Yet, she can easily walk through the door. We like that we can use the panels as a barrier or gate with the larger animals OR enclose it for the smaller ones. This will be easy to clean, appears to be a good quality material, and even includes spare hinges. The handles on the panels make them easy to hold. But warned that in a pile these panels can be heavy, but that's also what makes them sturdy. And the clear panels are both good for animal safety and for keeping the home/environment looking aesthetically pleasing.

Nice gate, doesn’t add clutter but the gate is not that heavy. I actually wish it was heavier/thicker but it is still great for small dogs. Just beware that your pet (especially older ones) will have an issue seeing the gate, but you can use blue painters tape until they get adjusted.
