So good it's almost unbelievable
Now that I've had this router for a few weeks, I wish I would've switched to Ubiquiti years ago. It's hard to believe how good this router is. Let alone for the price it sells at. It has every setting you could possibly need for home networking and really just about everything for corporate use as well. It's extremely fast and responsive when making any changes to settings. My old Netgear router had to reboot every time I changed anything. This one doesn't have to reboot, it just updates goes along with what it was doing. I love that I can access the router remotely by default. But, you can turn that off if you don't want it. It's also easy to manage the Ubiquiti Wi-Fi access points that I have connected. I like the little screen on the front that shows the current number of clients and traffic. As of the time I'm writing this, the router has been up for 29 days without any issues or slowing down of traffic. I had to reboot my old router at least once a week and it would still drop clients randomly. This has been rock solid since install.

Excellent Gateway
I set this Gateway up a few months ago and haven’t had to do a single thing to it since. Truly a set it and forget it product. The web interface is easy to navigate, the product works exceptionally well as well. Security so far seems great to me, but I’m also not a target. I would buy more Ubiquiti products after owning this Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway!

Perfect Solution For Small Businesses, And A Great Upgrade For Large Home Systems. Read more --
We've had Ubiquiti networking pieces for a while now. It started with a couple AP's managed via a Raspberry PI, added an EdgerouterX when a prior Security Gateway turned out to be not so secure. With a local available upgrade to gigabit internet service, it's again time to upgrade for the higher throughput, plus this cloud gateway ultra bundles Unify the management tasks with some security functions the EdgerouterX isn't quite as good at.Instant plusses include no-subscription access to a listing of known-bad sites to block, with a few levels of filtering available. It also supports VLANs natively, a nice feature that lets me segregate business, entertainment, and guest access pretty easily. The Unify console manages more than enough Ubiquiti devices to support our SOHO operations with two separate professional service businesses operating out of our home. The capabilities list includes multiple options for VPN access, which when paired with the VLAN capabilities completely isolates the two businesses and the rest of our home needs. Al in a compact and low-power package that lives in my server closet.I'm still learning all the capabilities, but plenty of info and support is available through Ubiquiti's own support resources and a fairly robust online user support base. So far I'm pleased with how it's working and how easy it is to configure. If you are working on a system that demands security and performance well beyond what my ISP describes as, [cough], "robust", but don't care to go all the way to a Meraki or similar with a subscription model, this may be the answer for you. At barely over $100, it's a fraction of the cost of those Cisco options even without the subscription costs added on. After some of the hard-coded backdoor access options revealed in our last 'security' gateway, I'm a little skittish about a few of the other mid-grade pro-sumer options available now. After a few years with the Edgerouter, I'm pretty comfortable staying in the Ubiquiti product family, especially with being able to consolidate so many functions into the one little package. Are you looking for a more secure and comprehensive upgrade from typical consume routers and wifi products? Got a range of user access needs? Got a small to medium business where you want to closely maintain user access and security for both staff and guests? This may be your answer. It has been for us so far.

A compact router that outperforms many larger devices.
I can't add much more than what others have already mentioned in their reviews. This is an incredible deal, and the sale price makes it even more appealing. I paid full price for it, and I have no regrets at all.It does an excellent job of establishing a VPN connection with commercial providers. You can also set up selective routing to direct specific traffic through the VPN for added privacy. I used it at an event with nearly 300 devices connected, and it performed flawlessly with a 1 gigabit connection.Highly recommended and truly deserving of all the hype.

Its a keeper so far
Wanted a firewall between me and the internet that wasn't managed by my internet provider. Also wanted one that I didn't have to have a cloud-based account to access and manage. So far I am impressed as it seems to give you all the options you need to manage but not overwhelm with too many knobs that might require a person to be a network security specialist to understand.I have been watching the security logs for a few weeks as somebody supposedly in Amsterdam seems determined to brute force my security DVR on my network. Made me rethink my home network security to see some of the determined hacking attempts going on.Pros to me:Can manage from home network without creating cloud based account through the manufacture. It is there if you want.Simple to use via app or web based, very decent GUI interfaceGood amount of network metrics for knowing whats going on with the network.Keeps itself updated to latest security releases if you want to allow, manually selectable otherwise.Throughput seems to be respectable with no stability issues noticed with the unit through the first 2 months of use.Cons:Only a insignificant one for most people in that I wish all ethernet ports were 2.5G instead of one 2.5g and the other 4 being standard 1G.

Perfect!
If you already have separate ubiquiti access points, this is by far the best value. Powerful and easy to use.
