Great shoe
Easy for this old fat man to get on and the large velcro area keeps them fastened. I have severe neuropathy in my feet and can't feel anything. These shoes keep me balanced and upright because the sole is solid enough. Wear them all the time now.

Very customizable to your feet and very comfortable
I always have trouble finding good shoes for my feet because my right foot is swollen so I always have a hard time some part of the shoe always bothers me.I'm so glad I found these they are very customizable to your feet, The Velcro straps allow you to fit it just right. What I found out is the best is you just put your feet in and then take one velcro strap from the left and then tighten it and then the one from the right and then tighten it rather than trying to do them both at once.Very good cushioning and support,I usually wear 11 wide, I figured I'd try the 11 wide X and they worked out pretty good.Definitely recommend to anybody who has trouble finding shoes to fit their feet and need to customizable ones.

Very large toe box.
These x wide shoes are wonderful for my husbands feet. He has a lot of swelling due to ALS and lack of movement. I’ve searched for a long time for a wide shoe with Velcro closures and this is the best that I’ve found. Prior to this, he was wearing SAS , but their triple wide is still not as wide as these. Also, they are 1/3 the price.

Perfect for swollen feet.
I have swollen feet from edema. I could not get my regular shoes on. These shoes are designed with two top flaps which open up so I can easily get my feet into them and the flaps can then be adjusted for a perfect fit. I normally wear a size 12 so I ordered these in a size 12.5 and they fit very well.

Not Actually for Walking
I was looking for walking or running shoes, 4E wide. I'd been buying these for years from BA Mason Co., but they went out of business. Similarly, Brown's New Balance in St. Louis, I bought online, went out of business. In Amazon, I was looking for replacements for the same shoes I'd been using, but which got worn down after several years. Looking at the info for these Fitville shoes, called "walking shoes", I got the impression you could walk, run, exercise as needed, but they had the added bonus of "extra roominess" in the front for diabetic swollen feet. I'm severely diabetic, but only have swelling on my shins, not on my feet. My feet are lean but super wide. My brother bought some shoes online that have extra room for swollen feet, but those came with numerous inserts to take up the extra space in the toe box and around the heel. So, they could be adjusted to a perfect fit, he says. (Like me, he needed them for extra WIDTH, NOT HEIGHT. 6E wide.) So, I bought these Fitville walking shoes, thinking they would fit everywhere on the foot normally but with optional extra height in toe-box which didn't hurt anything if you didn't need it. Also, the other reviewers raved about the velcro wings with opening in the center, saying that allowed more perfect fitting than any other design. When I got them, tried them on, I found they're way too loose all over the front, and all over the heel, and the velcro wings cannot be closed tight enough to be effective. The wings can't be extended far enough on each side. So, the shoes slip and slide all over my feet, or my feet slip and slide all over inside them. They cannot be used for any walking, let alone running. My biggest impression is these are only "walking shoes" only if you're walking with a WALKER, very slowly and gingerly. Further, they'd be best for sitting in a wheelchair with these super loose shoes just protecting your feet from the hard footrest. So, I sent them back immediately, I can't use them for anything (I'm not in a wheelchair or walker.) Extra inserts were not included to fill in the excess space, as my brother got with a different purchase. If you lack mobility, and need walker or wheelchair, only then do I recommend this purchase.

Not Diabetic
I think that some people advertise shoes as diabetic shoes without knowing what will help a diabetic. These are nice shoes, but I find it hard to believe that they are diabetic shoes. I put them on and within minutes they were hurting my feet. I am not saying these are bad shoes because they are not. They just do not match up to what diabetic shoes should be like.
