Used this kit to hard wire my VIOFO A229 Pro dashcam to my 2012 Audi TT. I’ve been using this for over 6 months now with absolutely no issues, the process was very straight forward after watching a YouTube video but you do also get instructions with the kit.The kit has everything you need for the hard wire including an electrical testing tool which is essential and fuses if needed. The cable length is very reasonable too and I would be very surprised if anyone has issues with that.Overall I’m very happy with my purchase, great value for money considering what you get and how reliable it’s proven to be. I use parking mode with my dashcam which again hasn’t caused me any issues with battery drain etc. Once the car battery gets below a certain voltage the hard wire module cuts power to the dashcam stopping the battery from going completely flat.

Easy to wire up due to the included tester. Fuses for all sizes so it's a one size fits all kit... buy it! thank me later :)

Excellent quality, really easy to install and plenty of length to the usb-c cable to reach the front camera.

This is definitely a worthwhile kit to use for hardwiring a dashcam. Nice and easy installation and even comes with a little trim tool to help tuck everything away.

I was a little apprehensive about installing this for my dashcam, but it was straightforward enough. A voltage reducing box with a cable coming in and another going out. One end connects into the fuse box, the other to your dashcam. Comes with plenty of cable, a helpful fascia-removing tool, fuse connectors for all sizes and a manual. The wiring needs an earth/ground connection, a permanently live fuse, and a fuse switched with the ignition.HOWEVER - since I was apprehensive I read and re-read the manual and noticed that the diagram in the manual had the coloured fused cables the other way round to both the written section of the manual and the label stuck on the voltage-reduction box. The manual text and box label were correct, the diagram in the manual was wrong. It probably won't damage the dashcam to get these wrong as they are both providing 5amps of power, but the dashcam may not operate as normal.Apart from that printing error, very happy with the kit.

Didn’t work. I’ve installed it correctly as confirmed by a dash cam installer and this hardwire kit does not draw/produce enough power from the fuse to power the dash cam when the engine is off. No way I can see to contact seller to address this, so beware when buying that some units are faulty. Works when engine is powered, hence the second star.

**WARNING!!**Check WHICH cable (red or yellow) is constant and which is ACC as the manufacturer is clearly confused.......On the kit I received, the cable and box clearly indicates YELLOW is to be connected to a CONSTANT 12v supply and the RED cable is to be connected to ACC (accessory switched). However, when I connected it this way my dash cam was permanently powered on and would not switch off when i turned my ignition off......20 mins later with the multi meter and it's clearly labelled incorrectly by the manufacturer. For me, the RED cable was constant supply and yellow was ACC.
