A great product ruined
Ordered to replace Crescent 10" & 12" pliers that have recently walked out of my tool box. I had these two pairs for 10 years in my job as a plumbing & heating engineer and they have been some of the most used tools in my tool box. Excellent quality and comfortable to use and fortunately I still have my original 8" pliers. Unfortunately Crescent have now changed the original style non-slip comfort grips to what I consider is a cheap plastic coating and which in my opinion is inferior and less comfortable than the original. After trying several times to purchase the original style Crescent pliers on-line and being disappointed on each occasion I have now resigned myself to looking for an alternative at one of the 2018 trade shows.

Another brillant product ruined by manufacturer greed.
The cushion grip has now changed to a smooth plastic grip (still somewhat cushioned)No where near as good as they used to be. Still as expensive though...odd

CHINESE... not American made
The origin of manufacture on Amazon claimed "USA" when I purchased, however the pliers are made in the land of almost right, China. Very disappointing. I could have bought harbor scary freight pliers for a quarter of the price if I wanted Chinese pliers.

Good quality. It is a nice looking piece, but whether it is a rival to the Channelock version, time will tell. The box says "Made in China to Apex Tool Group Specifications".
