4042 Soup Mug 683ml, Red, 14 x 10 x 12 cm

Great container for transporting and microwaving soups, rice dishes, salads, etc. Steam vent allows you to cook contents without having to take the lid off the product and avoids food splatter. The lid clips on securely and the steam vent can be closed during transportation. No leaks yet. Cup handle also useful when taking the hot contents out of the microwave. Prevents you having to handle the hot container. It is a bit difficult trying to clean well under the steam vent (a bit similar to trying to clean a sippy cup spout) but not impossible. Minor criticism and actually really like this item.

I bought this pair of mugs mainly for heating tinned soup, although I’ll also use them for storing homemade soup.Drinking my first mug of tomato soup as I write this, the mug is a lot bigger than 1 tin of soup and hasn’t over heated and can be drunk from strait away.There’s been no reaction with the mug, although I don’t find the mug comfortable to drink from (doesn’t mean I won’t do it).I won’t be using them to transport liquids, as I think it’s far to easy to not seal everything properly ( I did a test no leaks but almost missed locking the last clip).

Handy both for heating soups in microwave and having a heatable container for single size casseroles. I even, sometimes, eat casserole out of it, though it is a bit deep for that. Also to heat and drink milk etc.I use mine several times a day. DO make sure the steam vent is open when in microwave!

Brilliant - no leaks! Sturdy mug with secure fitting lid. Carried soup to work on tube and bus and no leaks. Previously bought similar Sistema product but found they leaked badly.

I live this. I use it most days. Perfect for soup or stews. No mess in the microwave and easy to eat/drink from. Recommended.

Sometimes difficult to close properly

Great up for heating drinks, soups or making porridge in, would highly recommend over other brands.
