Most effective "Duck Deterrent"
I've struggled for years to keep ducks out of my pool and this little gem has kept ducks away with no exception! Simply tied an empty milk jug to the Terror Eyes and it floats around my pool. No more ducks!

Birds didn't care...
Trying to keep the flickers from using my house as a really "big tree" and these did almost nothing to help. As recommended, I moved them around, let them move freely, relocated them periodically especially into spots where the little flying destruction machines seemed most active...no help at all. I ended up shrouding my house in black kevlar netting tied together with streamers (THAT worked)...and put these in the closet for use (maybe) in a grand Halloween pageant sometime. Otherwise, they were not useful at all...

Loved the inflatable
Loved the inflatable. Worked in the pool. No sign of ducks for a week. But, the spring it came with didn't hold up in first sign of wind. Its gone with the wind!

Woodpecker was scared away by this giant 'beach ball'!!!!
Yes, I was a bit surprised to find this is simply an inflatable beach ball. But we have some 3" holes in the siding of our house due to an annoying woodpecker. After hearing the woodpecker attacking our house, I ordered this using same day shipping and my husband hung it from a tree in our backyard that evening. I work from home a couple of days a week and it is not uncommon to hear the drill sound of the woodpecker at the end of winter/beginning of spring (I live in the Seattle area). I would go outside to see the woodpecker hanging from the side of the house and he'd just stop for a minute and continue. Throwing things at him (like the dog's tennis balls) would make him go away briefly (I'm a terrible throw and never come close to hitting him) only to return and resume the pecking. Once we hung this up, the woodpecker was nowhere to be found. Well, that's not true...I could hear him pecking on our neighbors house so nowhere to be found in our yard. I think the fact that is moves a bit because it's hanging from the tree helps. It did freak my dog out the first time he saw it but he quickly got used to it. I don't know how it works with other bird problems but for woodpeckers, I know it works. My husband threw the ball away at the end of the season and I'm back to buy another...the woodpecker is back!

Great appearance but does not hold up the air
It appears to work but it loses the air in a matter or hours which makes it ineffective. How many times would you put in air into the "ball" in a day? Wish it contained the air at least for a week! If you can put up with airing the ball at least once a day, and for effective purposes - 2/3 times a day ... this would be a good product for you. If not, don't bother :(

My Starlings are Gone!
For the last 5 years I have had starlings roosting and nesting in the runners of my red barn door. Once a year I have had to pressure wash the starling crap off the front of the door and tear down the nests (made out of sticks, dirt and garbage). Bird-X- Terror eyes was all it took to make the crapping starlings move elsewhere. This thing is worth the money if you have a starling problem!

Did not work for ducks!
We bought the Bird-X Terror Eyes to prevent ducks from landing in our pool. I tied a weight to the inflatable and floated in the pool. The ducks continued to land in the pool and instead of being scared of the Terror Eyes they would swim right up to the inflatable. At one point it looked like they were cuddling with the inflatable! I guess we will need to try something else. This certainly did not work for ducks. Looks like the kids have a beach all to play with. :)
