Excellent for smaller jobs.
Not the most powerful sander, however it does fine for small modelling jobs - if you put too much pressure on the belt the motor will slow down to a standstill, so you need to apply only light pressure and then it works fine on most jobs, far better for smaller jobs on the bench where you would most likely have things fly out of your fingers if you were using a larger belt sander.I have used it on wood, brass and steel to clean up sawn edges etc, primarily on my garden railway but it would suit a number of hobbies I should imagine.I bought some spare belts of varying grades which work well.

Useful bit of kit.
Bigger than I expected, I imagined it to be 'dremel ' sized, it's not full sized but very workable. I didn't need the polishing wheel as much as the grinding wheel, so I adapted the motor cover to permanently mount it without leaving the motor terminals exposed. The whole machine vibrates so much that it scoots around the bench, a G clamp solved that. Now it does what I wanted.

For the price it’s spot on
Considering the cost of full size machines this one is perfect for small project jobs. I have made a couple of coffee scoops and the buff wheel is perfect for the small cup. Don’t get me wrong, safety clearly was not at the front of the designers minds when designing this machine, using the buff wheel will the sanding belt is still fitted makes for an interesting time. But for the cost, it’s a great wee machine, not as loud as I thought it would be.

Excellent for crafts
I bought this to help with balsa modelling. It saves so much time sanding blocks down and is small enough to keep on my craft bench.

Electric mini belt / sander/ grinder
Packaged ok arrived on time . I had some small work I needed to use the belt sander . It's had approximately 1hrs worth if use on/off . Works OK going forward but runs slower going in reverse ?? If it gets worse it's going back plus most of the pressed steel frame work had big burrs on . But a useful m/c for small items . Update , the motor is under powered you can only do light polishing / buffing on it don't know how you would grind some thing without stopping the wheel as the motor is way under powered

you get what you paid for
Adapter lasted for an hour, had to replace it. Machine was struggling with the grinding wheel on, still does but it works now. Slightly off center so it "walks" around the table unless locked down with a clamp. Good for sharpening knives and simple polishes, but will probably buy a dedicated machine next time and not an "all in one" since it does an average job at best.

Not bad for price
The polishing wheel is too close to the body so I bought an extended thread(see photo) also the motor is exposed to dust etc so I’ve now covered that it’s ok for small work models etc but isn’t very torque powerful!
