Bought this for my gravel bike ..and it's an excellent device that takes a lot of the crash bang wallop out of going through your body ..easy to fit and worth every penny

Don't know why I didn't get one sooner. Doesn't bob when standing out of the saddle. Would recommend to anyone from gravel to TT

I have just done a 70mile 115km ride on the worst UK roads Imaginable with the stem fitted.I have read all of the reviews prior to purchase, and out of desperation decided to give the redshift a try.I would like to address some of the reviews that i have read.First impressions, I was worried about how it would look, yes it's square, but it looks good, I have seen a number of square stems on bikes, and I personally think that it looks smart, also it looks like a normal stem.Installation can be very tricky and cross threading the bolt that holds the elastomers in place is easy to do, read the instructions and be careful and you should be alright.First mile down the road, I found the suggested combinations of elastomers for my weight a bit to bouncy when climbing out of the saddle or sprinting, so I went up to the next harder combo of elastomers and found it much better.Some one said that it does nothing, maybe if you ride on smooth roads you won't notice any difference, if you ride on UK roads you will notice quite a difference, don't expect the kind off difference you may get from the SEATPOST, but given that we are talking about a stem with small elastomers in it performs efficiently, the difference is about the same as going from a 23mm front tire with 100 psi to a 28mm front tire with 70 psi in, a good move by the way.Pot holes and patchy roads feel quite a lot softer, there remains a small amount of feel which is nice.Unexpected bonuses other than comfort.The front wheel seems to bounce less on fast descents over patchy roads allowing faster descents.The bike feels a lot more stable and safer at quick decents as well.The front wheel should also last a bit longer, as some of the force placed on it should be taken up by the flex in the stem.The company claim to stand by their product as do most companies, this one really does, I had a small issue with the first one that i ordered, and the replacement was sent out before I even sent back the first one, communication was quick and friendly, my email was answered within an hour despite the time difference, the team really exceeded expectations, as did the product.I would describe this stem as a must have for any one cycling in the UK or anywhere where the roads are rough, especially if you are middle aged like me or doing long rides.Well done RedshiftMichael Kerschoff

Great for UK roads! Ok so for context I live in Suffolk UK near Ipswich. We are very lucky in that most of the country B roads between villages are light on traffic. However in the most part resurfacing consists of throwing rocks at wet tar and leaving traffic to smooth it. So it's tough on the hands and rough. On a usual 30-50 mile Saturday run my fingers will be numb and shoulders sore. No longer, this fantastic stem really smooths the worst of the vibrations. It's movement is mostly unnoticeable when riding seated either on hoods or in the drops, you will feel it hopping up a kerb or yanking on the bars for a climb but it quickly just becomes part of the rhythm. It does add approx 150g over the old stem but that is soo worth it to still be smiling at the end of a ride.

Absolutely blown away with the difference it has made to the bike! No it's not total front suspension but it does what it say it does would strongly recommend to any off road users 👌🏼 saves you spending at least £500 on a front suspension fork in my opinion! Friends where sceptical about it until they road my bike and have seen the trials and tarian I can go over with out getting uncomfortable! It a 5 star product from me well done Redshift 👌🏼

The new stem made the front of the bicycle feel softer, it makes the ride easier on the hands, arms and shoulders. A little tricky to install but worth the effort. A selection of elastomers increases adjustment availability.Would recommend to any rider.

Absolutely love this stem , only wanted it to take the edge off some bumps and it does a better job than that, your forks will spak up the big bumps and the stem will soak everything else up ,,worth while purchase highly recommended

This is a great bit of kit. My gravel bike was great but very jarring on the sorts of tracks it was designed for. This really smooths thing out, and yet is unobtrusive when on the road. Very easy to fit. It was a lot of money but well worth it.
