My Champion 9000W Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator (Model #201176)
I recently purchased the 9000W Electric Start Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator (Model #201176), and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This generator has exceeded all my expectations in every possible way. Here's why:With a 9000W starting capacity, this generator effortlessly powers all my household essentials during testing. From running the refrigerator, powering lights and electronic devices, it handles everything without breaking a sweat. The tri-fuel capability is a game-changer, offering the flexibility to use gasoline, propane, or natural gas. Even my Lennox 2.5 ton AC was able to start without a soft/hard kit. Of course other breakers were off and only the essential ones were on.The electric start feature is incredibly convenient, eliminating the hassle of manual pull-starts.One of the standout features of this model is its quiet operation in eco mode. While the generator is only quiet in this mode, this is to be expected given its powerful 9000W capacity. The inverter technology significantly reduces noise levels when eco mode is activated, making it suitable for residential areas. Additionally, the generator is remarkably fuel-efficient, ensuring longer run times without frequent refueling. The design of this generator is exceptionally user-friendly. The control panel are simple and provides the info you need, with clearly labeled switches and indicators. The build quality of the 9000W Electric Start Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator is outstanding. It feels solid and durable, capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions and rough handling. The wheels and handle make it easy to move around.ConclusionThe 9000W Electric Start Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator (Model #201176) is an exceptional piece of equipment that combines power, versatility, and ease of use in a robust package. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a dependable power solution.

Getting ready for hurricane season
Upgraded to an inverter generator with the capability to run my a/c and have gone through the break in period for this champion unit. The unit works well and is obviously tuned to run operate in the economy mode running just fast enough to generate the needed loads. The unit is very responsive and appears to work well. Easy to run and start. I ran on both propane and gasoline and it is very easy switching. A little noisier than I expected but it is easy to use.

Natural Gas Use and Inverter operation are Pluses.
I selected this model to have as an emergency backup generator for my home. After some research I found that Inverter models are much better for operating modern electronics. Considering the electronics in modern refrigerators and furnaces and my mini-split heat pump, getting an inverter model was the way to go for me. Then I wanted not to have to deal with maintaining a stock of either gasoline or propane, and having natural gas burning capacity, this became the one for me.I was a little disappointed that in my rural area, the earliest delivery date was two weeks after my order. But it did arrive on the scheduled date and within the three hour time window that I was given. To unpack, I simply slit all 4 corners of the box so it would fold flat and I didn't have to lift it out of the box. Installation of the wheels and handle were simple with the included instructions. After having a local plumber install an outside natural gas hookup with shut-off valve, plus the AC connection box to my main breaker box, I was ready to test it.At first it didn't want to start, and a closer look revealed I'd misinterpreted the direction to flip the choke/run lever. Once set properly, then it started right up. I tried to connect a fan, but didn't seem to be getting any electricity. By the meter, there were two lights. I found they were push button switches. Pushing the top one which had been red, turned both lights green and I was in business.Re: getting an AC connection installed. My electrician had installed a female outlet, rather than a male inlet. This meant when I located an AC hookup cord with the proper connector end, I had to cut off the female end, and install a replacement male connector, so I had a male/male cord which could plug into both the house and the generator. As far as noise, since I was just running a couple of fans and a heat lamp, it was running on eco mode. As such, while we could hear it inside the house, or outside, it wasn't annoyingly loud. As my wife said, "If we needed to be using it, we wouldn't care about the noise".I hope it's a long time before I really need to use it, and that everything works properly when that time comes.
