cheap price.....cheap hose
Been in metal salvage for the past 35 years and have probably used 50 hoses in that time. These are by far the worst. They have a "memory" from being coiled and I have been using a set for a month now almost daily and they curl up like a pig tail consantly with up to 6-10 curls in one spot. Every time I use them this happens and you have to try to uncurl them constantly or you have a mess. I run 2 fifty foot hoses, the other one purchased from a local welding supplier I use never does this. Although that one purchased locally has defeloped cracks near the guage within a month of purchase and use I will go back to that brand. The material they use for the hoses here on this one I bought from amazon seems inferior also as gets wounded easily. If you use a torch in adverse conditons i.e. freezing weather / scrapping situation or anything where you need a seriously good hose dont buy this. Would be better suited to a hobbiest or someone the uses their setup once a month etc. Extremely disappointed in this purchase.

So fa this hose is working great. I hoked it up to my torch for welding and now I have all the hose I need. It is nice and flexible. The fittings look well done. No complaints.

Good looking hose, well-made Type ‘R’ hose.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had my gas welding setup for many, many years. I got it in high school and now I’m retired, go figure… I’m on my second hose as it is now, but the second one is getting old, split, and showing its age too. This hose appeared to be just the ticket so I jumped on it.The hose set looked to be pretty much the same hose type and that hose lasted for several decades. I’m very happy with what I received. I immediately dug out my old rig and removed the old hoses from it and connected the new ones. 50 feet for 50-foot, the new one is a beautiful hose~! I tightened up the fittings and turned on the gas and away I went. Perfect~!~ You can see the quality machining, along with the black strain relief on each hose end.Note, this is a Type ‘R’ hose, meaning you can’t use it for Propane (like you got it for a Propane tank). The fittings are Type ‘B’, which means they are standard fittings and thread directions.

Well made, long torch hose
This hose is not only long, but it is very well made and has good quality connections. Another feature that is nice it that the hoses are held together at each end with a brass strap to keep the oxygen and acetylene hoses from separating. This seeming small feature prevents separating a lot better than the electrical tape on my present hoses--it is very annoying and potentially a hazard it you don't address this before it gets too bad. I also recommend using a short piece of hose lead behind your torch and ahead of your main hose. In torch work your first ten feet of hose takes the most abuse and if you have accidental cutting on the job you can quickly remove the damaged stringer section and resume work. No need for a field repair. Highly recommend
