Long lasting battery
This water flosser works very well! The water pressure is very strong, making it floss effectively. The battery also holds a charge for a long time. I charged it when it first arrived, as the instructions said to do, and it has lasted for two weeks without charging, using it multiple times a day.

Best portable waterpik in the market
Update 03/18/24: I've noticed a few flaws with this Waterpik, which led me to subtract one star:1. You'll need to refill it twice or more if you're using full power to floss your entire teeth.2. The flap on the back, meant to protect the USB-C female port, can sometimes open without notice. If water gets in and you plug in the USB-C male connector to charge, you'll end up frying the Waterpik's circuit. Make sure your Waterpik is dry before charging. (This happened to someone I know.)3. Sometimes, debris from cleaning your teeth can get trapped between the crevices of the water tank and the device. You can wiggle the device out of its case to clean them thoroughly. This Waterpik is the best option on the market for traveling. I used it on my recent overseas trip, and it worked like a charm. The only downside is its size—it's approximately 5 inches tall and 2 inches wide on both sides. While it can fit in your pocket, it still bulks out and isn't very pocket-friendly.Although this Waterpik effectively removes food debris from between your teeth in broad areas, it's still important to use dental floss for tight spaces between your teeth.

I take that back -> Not defective battery
Fortunately I was unable to return it. It sat on the shelf for about a month.... So I pressed the "On" button. Boy, was I surprised. It was user error! I consulted the manual. I had been pressing the ON button too long. So it turned off, and on, an off..... Oh, I get it, just briefly press on. Low and behold, it works.I just felt so bad - I had to correct such a negative review.Unable to return this product after I used it. ONCE. Battery failed. I did the initial charge exactly as instructions, overnight. I was able to use it the next morning. But every time I tried to use it thereafter, it would send a couple of squirts, hiccup, then quit. So I tried to recharge, again. Each subsequent charge was exactly as before, one, two quick squirts followed by a spasm before stopping.I've tested several times using the WaterPik USB cord and another USB C. Exactly the same result each time. Charging overnight, it doesn't work the next day. Again I pressed start button, it delivers a quick squirt, then after a long pause, the next squirt tapers off. I turn it off after a few more seconds.BTW, this is my second dissatisfied Waterpix purchase. Fortunately Costco accepted return of a Waterpix set (regular , plus a portable) from Costco prior to this. This will be the second return of Waterpix's products.Since June 2023 I have found the corded Phillips Sonicare Power Flosser 7000 to be reliable.

Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money. I bought this product and it stopped working after three months. It never worked very well to begin with. It was messy and leaked, it was hard to clean, it took forever to charge, and didn’t work very well to clean your teeth. After three months on/off switch stopped working. I tried to call customer support and they refused to talk to me because I was in my car. They said they weren’t allowed to talk to someone while they were driving. I told him I wasn’t driving and they told me to call back when I wasn’t in my car. I know waterpik can make some good products, but do not waste your money on this model. I travel a lot for work so I thought it would be a good idea, but I couldn’t pack it because it was always wet, even when it was empty. I really wish they made a good travel waterpik. This is completely overpriced. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Good but flawed
I bought this unit because I needed a compact water flosser for daily use and I was hoping the Waterpik brand meant something. Initially the unit worked well although I didn't like the single multi-press button. I find it too easy to change the pressure setting when turning it on and off. It failed after 6 months (and 2 days before I was leaving on vacation). When I got back from vacation I picked up the unit to find the serial number and contact support and it was working again! It worked for about 3 weeks before dying completely. Does not turn on and does not charge. I contacted Waterpik support this morning and after a couple of painless email exchanges they shipped a replacement unit. But here's why I'll continue to buy Waterpik products. I bought a cheaper water flosser of a similar design to use while I sorted out the Waterpik and the first thing I noticed was the poor quality of the tip for the cheap flosser. The end is flat with a hard edge and the water jet is noticeably coarser. The tip on the Waterpik is small, smooth, and rounded and the jet is finer and more powerful. The cheap flosser isn't bad but the Waterpik is better where it counts.

Super compact and easy to clean once you know the trick!!!
Some reviews say the the motor is not so powerful. But I saw my dental hygienist after using it for several weeks and they said it was doing a good job. That is good enough for me.Some reviews complain that it never dries out. HERE IS THE TRICK TO SOLVING THAT. Simple pull off the water tank and dry it. I use a small cloth to quickly and easily dry it out. It then slides back on and collapses to travel size. Slip it into the included compact travel bag and you have a lightweight, easy to pack water flosser.BONUS: USB-C charging.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
