Closest to Costco Russell Socks I've Found So Far
I'm trying to find a sock to replace the Russell brand I used to buy at Costco. So far, for the price, these come the closest. They have very little shrinkage upon washing and are comfortable, along with being soft. The knit is a different weave from the Costco socks on the shaft. The foot part of the sock is uniform on its thickness all around the sock so the bottom isn't double layered. I like the weight, but they are a little thinner than the Costco socks. I would say they are a very good buy for the money. I will buy more of these. After owning these socks for a couple of weeks, I am giving an update. I love the softness of the foot part of the sock, however, the ribbing on the top is too tight. I'm a woman and have a smaller foot and ankle than a man and if I find this an issue, it would be more exasperated for a man. I was folding the top over in a bobby sock style and my circulation was cut off too much. I cut the top 1 1/4 off the top and keep them unfolded. That gives me the amount up my leg that I like as I don't like ankle socks. There is no constriction now and the peeling of threads in the wash is minimal and I cut them off.

Replacement for those old Costco sold acrylic socks by Russell athletics.
I bought socks on a whim from Costco a number of years ago, I wore them one day, I couldn't stand the fact that my feet would sweat in them was a dealbreaker, but my wife wore them to sleep in, because they were soft an I declared them too warm, she has cold feet. Fast forward a couple years, some got lost or got holes etc. But Costco stopped carrying them, due to other reviews of people looking for Costco socks (Russell brand) saying these are the closest they have found,... So we bought them. Fast forward 2 more years... I have just searched my order history for these socks so I can reorder again. They were indeed a great replacement for those old Costco Socks! Perfect cuddly soft and warm to sleep in.

Very tight
Nice socks, but they are very tight on the top and bottom of the arch and the band to hold them up will leave temporary marks even if you don't have large legs.

Good socks
Good socks - they stay up and aren’t too tight for me.

hubby love them!
My husband loves these socks. He ha a size 12.5 foot. The ankle seats properly on his foot, but the delineation between the calf tube and the ankle sits just below the edge of his shoes. The calf tube is well vented with the knit pattern they use. I was worried it's elasticity would not hold up, but it does, and is comfortable. He loves how cushioned they are and how they keep his feet dry. The toe seams are stiff at first, but soften with laundering. The finish on the corners are smooth too, which is a plus.Even though the fit is a little short for his feet, there is plenty of room for his wide toes. So we will be purchasing more.

Their old product was good, these are TRASH
I have been buying these exact socks for years and I would've loved to keep doing so, but I can honestly say that this will be the last time I ever purchase them. They were always very soft, had good stretch, and the entire foot was cushioned well, however, the recent socks I received felt and looked like a completely different sock. They feel very CHEAP; the sock no longer stretches, the whole foot cushion has been reduced to a barely cushioned strip on the bottom. I wish I would have known that they had started selling a new design. If you are repurchasing these, thinking that are the same sock, THEY'RE NOT. Would not waste my money on these!

The best!
These are the only socks my husband wears for his outside job. They are comfortable and the perfect length.
