A must read if you want to, or have to be a rv'er
This guide on how to live in a car, van or RV us a must read before you embark on taking to the road. The author, Bob Wells provides essential information on how to make the transition from bricks and mortar living to living on the road.I enjoy RV'ing in my small mobile home, and considering upgrading, and will bear in mind what I have read when I do.

Inspiring more than instructional
Just finished reading an interesting book calledIt's written by an American so lots of yank bias. It's about a guy who lives out of a van full time. Has done for decades. It's not really a detailed instruction manual but more a lifestyle guide. Any "instructional" element revolves around how to do things cheap. Not a bad thing as it is very easy to overload a vehicle with expensive car porn!I'm a fairly experienced long distance traveler and I found some stuff useful - for example, there is a whole chapter on "stealth parking" as in hiding your sleeping quarters in plain site especially in urban areas. Another one on second batteries and the pros and cons of different ones.It can be picked up for about the price of a pint on amazon:I'm not saying it will give you every answer to every question you have but I thoroughly enjoyed it and if nothing else it gave my enthusiasm to carry out a very long tour year after next a big boost.

A great little book with some excellent tips and advice. The author also shares his fantastic and heartening philosophy on life which many will find inspirational. Well worth a read.

I now lived in my Ford Focus for two weeks.
Robert does a great job here. He doesn't ramble but succinctly gives you everything you would want to know. All of the questions you could have, he's thought of and answered. He goes through some of his own experiences, explains why one should do it and then talks about how we can do it, dealing with each hurdle logically.I've now used this book to help me live in my car for a fortnight travelling the length and width of the UK. I intend to do it again for longer.Out of the several books on this very topic, I'd say this one by Wells is the best. Although.. and I hate to say this... you can probably read much of the book on his website for free. But buy this!

Some useful info. Though a lot is obviously aimed at the U.S.

Great practical advice that translated well even for this European
Heart felt and practical but brutally honest. Bob does not sugar coat anything he has a very pragmatic approach to this way of life. If you are considering this lifestyle you have to read this book!
