Need room above socket as its top loading had to higher a shelf for it to fit
Works well with tube heater in shed set at 13 degs all good saves turning on and offDrop temp to 5 degs to keep frost off can use in greenhouse

Worthless because it can't accurately read temperatures.
I've been fairly disappointed with the accuracy of the thermometer on this. We were using it in our nursery to control a convection heater and keep the room an even temperature because our central heating is too variable. The heater was not close enough to the plug to impact the temperature reading but it is always much higher than the readings on our baby monitors; which would be OK I guess if it went up and down accurately but it doesn't even do that. It seems to get stuck on a reading even though the room feels much warmer and the other monitors are reporting temps about 3-4 degrees higher. In short, what good is a thermostat that can't accurately read temperature. Maybe mine is a defective unit, but it's worthless to me.

Works fine, but need to get accustomed
This works fine. There are however 2 points that are worth knowing1). When the device is first powered up for use, it can take a long time (perhaps a couple of hours ?) for the temperature measurement to settle. As long as it is then left powered up it seemed stable to me. It is important therefore to leave it powered up : so do not switch off at the mains socket, - instead use the device's on/off button, as this leaves the power on the device at all times.2). It is crucially important that the device is placed where it can measure a representative temperature. If its too close to the floor, or a wall or some obstruction, then it may be in a "stagnant zone", where the temperature it measures doesn't mean much. It then cannot control in any repeatable fashion. I used an extension lead to move the device away from the wall. With the above I found that it did repeatably control to +/- 0.5 Deg, which is what I wanted.I quite like that it has the ability to set the calibration +/- 9 degrees from the factory preset, though the instructions on how to do this are very badly written & may not be fathomed by all.

All round a good device
I use this device to switch a pipe heater on in my shed when the temperature drops too low. It has accurate sensing and is fairly easy to program although the instructions could have been a bit clearer when it came to setting the upper and lower limits for triggering. That said the product works well and has a clear display when viewed directly. Viewing the liquid crystal display from other angles is difficult, especially in low light.

Not very reliable, let's hope it has been improved.
I bought on of these 2 years ago for use in my greenhouse. Seemed fine and did exactly what I wanted. However, when I checked the greenhouse today and found it has not been switching the heater on. Plants looking very sad and dead. Not impressed. I see from the illustration the design has changed slightly. Let's hope they have uprated the relay... My experience of electronic thermostats has been dire. I tried a different make to this previously and three of those failed. I am only switching 1kW, so they should be able to handle it, surely. Back to my tatty old mechanical unit which keeps soldiering on...

Works great for small office or garden room.
After using this to control the heat for a small garden office, I have found it much better than relying on the thermostat usually built into the heater, and much more accurate. Its easy to control the temperature, suiting my use for maintaining a low (10c) tempreature at night to prevent frost/moisture, and easy to raise to 20c during the day for when im working. My only comment on a possible downside is that there's no "ON" option, to bypass the temp sensor and permanently supply power. the only way this could be achieved is to set the temp to something ridiculously high like 30c so it never cuts out. The power button on the device is for OFF or temp controlled only.Overall i think this is a great purchase, and would recommend it to someone needing either a night-time frost prevention, or a day time to maintain tempreature, that is much more accurate than built-in thermostats.
