Great Power Supply at a great price!
After having a new MSI ATX3.1 power supply blow and take out have my components I decided to try this Red Dragon power supply and I have to say I am beyond impressed. The build quality is excellent and at first I thought the ARGB fan was just a gimmick, but it comes through on the back of my daughters Lian Li 011D case and looks awesome. Also Red Dragon includes a power supply tester and MSI does not, which would have been nice to have. The cables are not the highest quality I have ever seen, they are good and work just fine though. Overall this power supply compares very well to my Corsair RM1000x. While the Corsair has better cables, both power supplies generally are very close on all other features. Both use Japanese CAPs, both are quiet and considering the Red Dragon power supply was considerably cheaper I would have to lean towards the Red Dragon if I ever need another power supply. Really, you can't go wrong with this power supply.

Reliable, great value for dollar, great build
Insanely reliable.Ive had mine for a year and half now.I know its not rated on of those spreadsheets we pass around reddit and brand trolls will think its “the bomb has been planted”. However, inspected and tested the capacitors on these and they are not cheap or lazily made. The internals looks even better than my previous thermaltake psu. Its beyond a budget psu imo because this will take your dollar value for many years until you need to upgrade due to wattage demands as technology moves on. I have 2 of these PSUs now. One running a 4070ti super build and the other a 9070xt build as pictured. I highly recommend this PSU.

As Expected
Works as expected, no issues, easy/normal installation. It can be a little bit more difficult than normal to turn it on/off without looking due to the button (which i think is for the leds or fan or something). It's been running for about a year. It does make a distinct but not disturbing fan noise when the fan cycles on and off, but I think it's smart about it and doesn't seem to trigger except under long term stress. I don't notice the noise when using headphones.

Power Supply
Didn't seem like it was working at first, but pulled and reconnected all fittings to make sure properly seated, pulled RAM and re-seated, and then worked perfectly

Perfectly Adequate
I waited for Linus Tech Tips to test this unit for safety before offering a proper review. The value of this PSU puts it smack-dab in the middle of the PSU product stack and is an amazing deal for 850 watts when caught on sale. The Cables are thin and made of a material that feels durable but also cheap-- it also includes all cables for all sockets which some manufacturers do not do so kudos Red Dragon! The installation process is as easy as any other PSU but thanks to its shorter length, it's easier to connect new cables post-installation so you don't need to remove the unit in most cases. My hardware cannot stress this PSU enough to make it's fan spin up enough to say whether or not it has the dreaded coil whine some Red Dragon PSUs of the RGMS and RGPS lines tend to suffer from however. The power Supply overall is adequate with no major drawbacks or advantages over competition besides it's lower price and the fact it is from a PSU manufacturer that is considered questionable at best by most reviewers. I personally find no fault with this product.

So Far So Good!
It works well for my pc thus far. I've been using it for a couple of months with no issues. I had to upgrade my power supply when I upgraded to a better graphics card & this power supply has been solid. If needed I'll gladly update this review.

Smelly
Looks nice. but be careful how you install it. I tried to hide extra power wires in my case in a void just above this supply and the small amount of pressure caused the internal fan to hit something inside with a loud and annoying buzz saw noise.I'm also a bit concerned that it smells like exploded electronics (I'm an electrical engineer and have tons of experience blowing stuff up accidentally). I'm hoping this is just something left from its assembly and will dissipate in time. I'll keep an eye, and nose, on it and change my review if it blows up. (So if this is still 4 stars and the review is old, then the power supply has not expired!)
