Great value for money

Lovely thick paper, I can use loads of water on it and it doesn't cockle. Takes paint well I have been pleased with everything I have painted on it. Will purchase this paper again when I run low on it. The seller was excellent it was postage free and arrived the next day.

Tremendous paper. Watercolour loves this surface

At less than 30p per A4 sheet this is a cheap, student grade paper and behaves accordingly. It is smooth with a pronounced cream colour and an oddly thirsty surface which makes pigments difficult to apply evenly and dry dull. It does accept waterproof ink happily without feathering or bleeding. It doesn't cockle but a wet wash will show as an indentation on the back of the sheet so that the reverse is not usable. The sizing is adequate but will not stand up to rough treatment.If you want a better quality practice paper I would recommend Hahnemuhle anniversary or Bockingford but if, like me, you want something really inexpensive to swatch out watercolours on,scribble notes about mixes and try out pens and inks this suffices. It is also sturdy enough to have holes punched in it and put in a ring-binder.As a professional painter I use fearsomely expensive 100% cotton/linen rag paper for work I sell.But sometimes there is a place in the studio for something cheap and useful as long as one does not try to use it for serious pieces. I am nonetheless going to give it four stars as there are worse (and more expensive papers) on the market in this grade.

Top quality paper! Well… card really. Very thick and textured and it’s a jumbo pack with 50 sheets too. Very happy with it!

I’ve tried many types of watercolour paper and this is my favourite. Every painting I do I am happy with. I love how the paint dries on this surface, how much water you can get away with using and how smooth it is. Really pleasantly surprised as it’s fairly cheap. 100% recommend to anyone who likes watercolours.

I’m an artist and have been painting for many, many years. I tend to keep to water colours. Iv spent an absolute fortune on quality paper in the past. I came across this and read the reviews. I’m so happy I didn’t listen to the 2 bad reviews and went with my instinct. To be honest iv spent more on a few pieces of paper than I have on this whole pad of 50. So I thought what can I loose if anything I can use it for messing about in with colours etc if it is really that bad. Paper is paper at the end of the day you can use if for something arty if it doesn’t work for your original needs.No it’s not your expensive cotton blend etc but it doesn’t claim to be either.That being said the quality is excellent, the paper holds so much water and does not warp at all. It’s so thick and feels expensive. The paintbrushes glide nicely, it blends lovely. Pencil comes off easily (if used) sponges and dabbing is all great. Masking fluid and inks work great, I’m absolutely made up with this purchase.You will not be disappointed. I’m buying another to keep a stock up.Hope my review & pictures helps others to make a decision on this. I’m over the moon 😊

This watercolour pad is ideal for watercolour painting. It is a good size and the paper quality is great.
