Good entertainment
Got this for my grandson, he loves it. The batteries last quite a long time and the design is a good fit for children's hands

Works very well
As other reviewers have said its' rather small. It's also not very sturdy. But it's perfect for my 2 year-old granddaughter who absolutely loves it. Images are clear.

Good
Tiny in size so child needs help. But good quality fun for kids, whilst being educational. Great design

Good- but not very safe and poor battery life
I bought this as the main gift for a child's birthday party. When it arrived however I decided not to give it as it was so small it looked way cheaper than I'd paid for it and to be honest just looked a bit naff. Instead I gave it to my 3 year old to play with (the product recommendation is from 36 months).Whilst he loves it as bedtime when it's dark enough to see the images properly, it's not safe for him to hold himself as he tries to look into the torch to see where the images are coming from... and the light is *so* bright, it's blinding. Which I guess it needs to be to make it work well as a projector, but just worth considering if giving it to children on the younger side. Also the slide disks are very small too, and I wouldn't be comfortable giving this to a child under 5 or so incase they are swallowed (I'd also expect them to very quickly be lost). One more big negative is that the battery life doesn't last long at all if you want the torch to be bright enough to actually see what the images are. We used ours for about 2 minutes at a time, once a day and the batteries needed to be changed after 2 weeks. When I came to change the batteries I realised it takes 3x button batteries, which again are horribly dangerous for small children. But, my son does love this toy- I hold it myself and flick through the images onto his ceiling as he's laid down for bed and he loves identifying all the different sea creatures. So for that, it is a fun toy that he enjoys. However I would never let him play with it himself now I know it contains button batteries, is blindingly bright and has such tiny parts.

A real winner!!
For the pure delight it brought to my son- this has to be a 5* purchase for me!My just turned 2 year old is obsessed with all things dinosaur- I swear the kid even dreams about them- so when I saw this for the low price I figured it was worth it.When it arrived it was smaller than I anticipated- with 3 small looking slides. But when I gave it to him- he was delighted- he sat in the car hugging the packet all the way home!Once opened- set up was easy- as batteries are provided- just pull out the tag on the battery compartment and pop in your slide and you're ready to roll.My son was jumping up and down in delight at the projections- and we were playing with this torch for a good 2 hours....He was loving jumping on the dinosaur when we projected it on the floor, dancing dinosaur when we projected it on the walls. He is too small to change the slides and turn the slides himself as of yet- but this product is aimed at 3+ and my son is only just 2.Many of the images are dinosaurs, some are fossils, odd one or two is of spikes or a claw. All said and done this is a childs toy- it's small for their little hands, the projections are clear- but they're not HD- because lefts face it- it's aimed at kids and cost you a fiver......just enjoy you're childs entertainment- they don't care its a little bit blurry- all they're bothered about is that dinosaur on the living room wall!!

A bit tricky to put dinosaur token in.
I bought this for my little grandson. It was a bit tricky at first to put the dinosaur token in and to put it in focus. I just thought you put in and switch on. However once we 'mastered' it it is very good. Very clear picture and he loves it. Not sure about durability as he is a bit heavy handed. Time will tell. At the moment it is still entact. 14th January 24.
