TOUGHEST CASE I'VE FOUND SO FAR
I'd been looking round for a rugged case for my Defy Mini. I'd used Nite Ize stuff before & was always happy with the build quality. This seemed to be the best for my needs. Made from a very heavy duty ballistic nylon with a heavy duty Velcro closure & a "press to open" style belt clip. It's fitted with a small inner pocket inside the main compartment -big enough for a credit/identity card - & an elasticated belt loop. There's also a heavy duty piece of elastic fitted to the back called the "Tooth Fairy" (which is kinda creepy if you've watched "Manhunter/Red Dragon") the idea being that you can carry your headset whilst not in use - not a feature I'll be using.Size wise - the Defy Mini fits almost perfectly, width wise is spot-on, depth wise - I'd like it to be a bit "snugger", but if you start to put stuff in the card pocket it'd fill it out. The Velcro flap covers the Velcro on the main body, another cm would have been good, but not a concern.Quality wise - can't fault it - feels like it will last a lot longer than a cheapie from the pound shop. The material is heavy duty, quality stitching, good edge banding. The belt clip is well thought out - it's not s solid loop, instead you ease it open to fit onto your belt and it has no chance of coming off. They say you can fit it onto your waistband as well - you can, but it doesn't feel as secure as being on a belt. What I was really pleased to find is that the belt clip has been improved. I have one of their torch holders & the clip disintegrated after very little use, although I improvised round it.Nite Ize Lite Stretch Holster Torch Case - Black Whilst the basic design is the same, they seem to be using a different material which has more flex than the previous design. Hopefully, it'll last a good time. They're hovering around the 12.50 price at the moment - pricey compared to some holders, but I'd rather pay that for something as well thought out & constructed as this, then continually replacing a three quid item
