Fantastic company & product
I have recently become interested in supplementation and in particular, magnesium. It appears that our crops are very low in this essential mineral, and it is not currently added to fertilisers. I started about 3 months ago using the magnesium oil spray and I recently added the citrate tablets to supplement the oil. I avoid the oxide form of magnesium, as it appears that it's absorbtion rate is as low as 4%. The citrate is more like 60% (of course, every body is different, and absorbtion rates are subjective). If you examine the ingredients in most magnesium supplements, you will find that the magnesium therein is of the oxide variety. It is cheap and easier to produce. Is it a wonder why so many doctors tell us multivitamins are useless?!The results of my regimen have been dramatic. I no longer suffer from cramps in my legs (once a nightly occurance). My skin looks healthy and has never been clearer. My anxiety has drastically reduced and my mood is more stable. I used to suffer from vivid and distressing nightmares every night. These are now a much rarer occurance.I am only 2 weeks or so into using the citrate tablets, but as magnesium is notoriously difficult to absorb, I wanted to ensure I am getting the correct amount. I am hoping that the additional (and accurate) magnesium from the citrate will help my still-sluggish digestive system, as magnesium is essential for its proper functioning. The tablets are big and I dislike swallowing such large pills. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they break in half easily. 200 mg is too much for the body to absorb at once anyway, so I divide the tablets in half and take one half 4 times per day. The half tablet is in many ways worse to swallow, due to its one rough surface. However, I overcome this by chewing the tablet and swallowing with a drop of water. If you baulk at the idea of this, don't worry! The tablet is completely tasteless and easily chewed due to its crumbly texture. It may even aid absorbtion as your stomach has less work to do. Additionally, if you crush it with the back of a spoon, it forms a very fine powder which can be added to yoghurt, milk, porridge - just about anything! I ensure my little daughter gets her small dose of magnesium this way.

Good, but big, tablets. Thankfully, ok to cut in half using a knife
There are all sorts of benefits claimed for magnesium, with different compounds of it (citrate, taurate, malate, chloride, carbonate etc) having different benefits claimed. One advantage magnesium citrate has over the cheaper to manufacture magnesium oxide is the absorption rate, with magnesium citrate being absorbed into the body far more effectively than magnesium oxide. If the claimed benefits of magnesium citrate are what you are after, your magnesium levels are low, and you feel the need to use supplements rather than enhance your diet, these tablets seem to be good ones to go for. 200mg is more than I want, but it’s not a ridiculously high amount as found in some competitor products. Manufactured in the UK to GMP standards, these are described on the bottle as suitable for vegetarians. However, they are also lactose-free and the product details online say that they are suitable for vegans, as well as gluten free and GMO free. I’m always a bit concerned by product details that say “Free from allergens” – what they might intend is “Free from common allergens”, they simply cannot say that none of the ingredients will trigger a reaction in somebody. Always check the ingredients (which can be seen in the product details on Amazon) to check that there is nothing in there that would disagree with you.The only downside to these that I have noticed is that they are huge. As I only want 100mg I cut them in half. They are too big to cut in my pill cutter though, so it’s a job for a sharp knife and a cutting board. If you struggle to swallow large tablets, you’ll struggle with these unless you chop them up. Thankfully, they are tasteless, so you don’t suddenly get a horrible taste by chopping them up as you do with some tablets/capsules.Note also that the “Get your next product free” offer shown in a label stuck on the lid has closed at time of writing this review. Strictly speaking, there’s an asterisk after the word free, but I cannot find anything related to that that suggests that there might be an expiry date on the offer, so it’s a bit cheeky of Nu U to put that label on.Recommended for those who want magnesium citrate supplements and who don’t get irritated by misleading offers.

Nice quality product.
The product comes in a good quality plastic container. There is no child-safety lock but - for this product - that is completely fine as it's near enough impossible to overdose on magnesium. The pills themselves are rather large but are finished well so go down easily. They are completely tasteless, which is a plus. Far too often I've had to deal with terrible tasting supplements.I also appreciate that the product is suitable for vegetarians. The label goes out of it's way to mention that it's suitable multiple times which I'm sure people of the vegetarian persuasion will appreciate. As for the effectiveness of the product, it is still a bit early to say. Magnesium Citrate is known to be more effective than other Magnesium supplements. There may be some improvement already but as it stands I can't reasonably confirm that it's not just the placebo effect. After a while I'll return to this review and confirm its effectiveness. The product arrived quickly (same day!) and the product seems to be of a good quality, so I'll most likely use this company again.

Magneasy good
Bit early to tell how well they work as only started few days ago but I have slept pretty well so far. I moved from the same brand's Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc and Vitamin D as I was informed that simply taking magnesium by itself was the best thing for me. Plus, the magnesium in that mix is magnesium hydroxide and so not very soluble. I was told magnesium citrate is one of the best for insomnia/anxiety. I take one tablet a day after my evening meal and I have been feeling more restful and calm.
