Great Protection and heat protection.
I live in S. FL. and the heat during summertime will cook food in the cab of a truck. I removed all carpeting, roof liner and seating from the cab of my truck. I installed the thermal shield in about 15 min, has excellent adhesion. I reinstalled the carpeting, seats and a cheap vinyl over the roof insulation. I turned on my truck and was instantly surprised at the minimal exterior road noise and the music acoustics were a lot better. The interior heat difference is the BEST feature. The cab of my truck would reach 124 degrees when left sitting in the sun all day and with traffic, no A/C and 5 workers the heat was unbearable. After installation of the insulation the truck does not get above 105 degrees during the day and my crew is happy. Start to finish 2 men 20 man hrs. for installation. I am going to order more to insulate the roofs and walls of my work vans.Cheap solution to a never ending problem in Florida! Good Product!

Worked Out Very Well, Good Product
My 1992 Grand Prix STE 5 speed, which I've owned now for 27 years, had a major oil leak years ago, that spattered all under the hood and pretty much destroyed the OEM hood heat blanket by oil soak. I had removed it decades ago and just had bare steel. After getting some other things taken care of that needed repairing, I wanted to drive the car more this year, but again noticed how much heat the 3400 DOHC engine put into the hood's sheetmetal and paint, not happy. So bought this heat absorbent matt. Put it on last Saturday, peeled the centre of the backing and adhered it to the hoods centreline, then worked outward toward both edges, came out looking quite nice, very pleased with the result. The glue is pretty much something, don't get it stuck to where you don't want it or the foam will rip as you attempt to remove it, I'm expecting after a few heat-cycles it should be bonded on like cement. Quite satisfied with the results, recommend without hesitations.

Seems to have done the job on helping with the sound of the engine of our front diesel motorhome.
Used this to cover where the motor is in our motorhome. Seems to have worked well.

Good temperature and noise control
Initially, I didn't get this for noise or sound reasons. I got this because my car would get too hot in the summer. Some days it would be so hot that i literally couldn't sit inside for 20 minutes with the A/C running. My headliner failed, so when i removed it there was no insulation up there. I looked around and this was the best value i could find. So far I'm seeing a significant difference in interior temperature when sitting in the sun. Also, there was a significant reduction in wind noise (10-15Db) inside the cabin. Sadly, I can now hear my wife's snarky comments clearly. It is a bit difficult to install large pieces alone, but with some patience and painters tape not impossible.Well worth the time and cost. Will probably buy more and line my doors eventually.

EXCELLENT!!!
The floor insulation in my work truck had deteriorated making the cab unbearably hot. Order a couple of rolls to try. Removed the seats, etc. Easy enough. Pulled up the rubber for lining, easy enough. Found the factory pad was "gone, finished, ka-put". Installed this new pad. Reinstalled everything. Took less than 2 hours total. Not only is the truck cab comfortable, but quieter as well!PSST! the adhesive is unforgiving. Make no mistakes, you won't be moving it. Tried a heat gun on low heat, just melted the padding. Adhesive stayed.

Strong adhesive and very thick.
I used this insulation to line the doors on a crew cab truck. The reason was to reduce road noise and to add a layer of insulation to keep the Texas heat out of my black truck. So far, it did make the inside of the truck considerably quieter. Most of the road noise is inaudible, but not gone completely. It also made a difference with heat, surprisingly, as I can go inside a store mid-day and when I come back out, the interior of the truck is only warm instead of scorching hot. It was easy to cut with household scissors and the adhesive is almost annoyingly sticky as it was constantly trying to stick to every surface I accidentally touched while installing. This roll was enough to do 4 doors on a mid-size crew cab truck. NOTE: It did have the strong rubber smell for the first few days, but has gone away. Leaving the windows cracked when parked helped the truck air out.

Great Product
This is really nice, for a reasonable price! Installation is a breeze. Once its down it will not move. Insulation and sound deadening is excellent! I have no complaints and will buy more as I need it.

Adhesive issues
If your gonna press it with something else the adhesive will be fine I installed in on a curved clean surface and started to unstick. So if you where to lay carpet over it or a headliner or something that pushes it to the surface your sticking it on to it’ll work fine. As far as isolation I can’t speak on that it’s common sense you will get some sort of isolation but how much? Well that’s the thing.Works ok I guess feels a bit light for what I thought would be foam seems ok if your cheaping out and just want to stick and go this is it. If you’re more interested in serious reduction of heat or noise get something else you get what you pay for pretty much. I give it a 4/10 adhesive is weak and foam feels to cheap to truly isolate noise and foil seems to flimsy to repeal heat. Makes me wonder about the longevity of the product.
