We needed a grill thru a door, so this grill fit perfectly to the rectangular design - we cut the door and fitted this grill both sides, it seems to be solid and works perfectly well.

Fairly easy install if you measure correctly and cut the hole large enough. I used this vent to allow air return to HVAC system when my hall door was closed. Installed the 18"x12" and wish I'd spent a few bucks more for the 18"x18". Vents appear to be sturdy and well built; should last. Installed on older hollow wood core 1 5/16" thick door.

These vents may be expensive; however they truly are sturdy and fit rather nicely in the garage door thus reducing the heat build up in my garage by 20 degrees during the summer if not more! I love them but it did come with a price.

Suited my purpose, but the tabs that hold the two pieces together are basically worthless. Had to drill holes and add screws to hold the two pieces together.

Nice looking piece of hardware. There are no installation instructions, and the supplied clips do not fit on the hardware (at least without damaging it). If you purchase, you will need to figure out how to install it on your own.

I had no problem with the clips. Based on reviews I thought I might want to add a couple of screws after installation but there was no need. My door is 1-3/16" thick and it clicked in tightly without a problem. I have a lot of air movement though this grille due to the AC return being only in the basement. No vibrations or whistling noises. I'm very happy with my purchase.
