A Very Solid USB-C Dock for my MacBook Pro
I got tired of bringing my OWC Thunderbolt 3 - USB-C dock back and forth from office to home. It’s heavy and has long chords and a transformer brick. Most important for me is that this dock offer mini display port connectivity. At home I use my 27” iMac as a second big screen for my 2017 MacBook Pro and absolutely had to have the mini display port capability. To that end the Iogear Dock has worked flawlessly and all other USB connections have worked without fail.I did find that an older Apple 24” aluminum frame Cinema Display would not work with the dock, yet the vintage 30” Cinema Display did. From my research I gathered that it was an issue with the tech in the 24” monitor, not with the Iogear dock.

Generous USB ports
I bought a macbook pro, and needed to hook up my cinema display, external drives, and other usb stuff.i was a little concerned because I did not know the brand, but happily, it does everything I want. hardrives, printers, cinema display all connected.the thing I don't like about it is the USB-C cord is very short - like 2 1/2" . so I have this thing right next to my laptop, not out of sight. big jumble of cords - not a clean install.still, it does what it's supposed to do, not gonna return it.

Bought three all have stopped working within 6 months
Bought three all have stopped working within 6 months. The first one went out 1 day after the return period was up, the next one about a month later and the last one just failed today around 6 months after I purchased them. I have purchased numerous USB-C Docking Stations, these stand out as bad among them. I would recommend not buying these.

Super Deal
Ordered this for my new 2018 MacBook Pro and it worked GREAT. Would recommend for sure. In fact, ordered another for my home. (original was for office). No install per se; just plug-and-play. Worked with external monitor (HDMI), another VGA monitor, my USB printer, and a micro SD memory card -- without ANY fuss. IO Gear has always been quality so this just meets high expectations.

Awesome build quality, great price, compatible with all my usb-c equipped laptops!
I was admittedly shocked at how well made this hub was for the price, and even more so at the fact that it worked with all of my usb-c laptops! I have a MacBook Pro 2016 (four usb-c ports), a System76 Galago Pro (running Ubuntu), a Lenovo X1 Carbon (6th gen running Win10), and the hub worked like a charm for all three!Pleasant surprise for a well-priced hub that saves me from dongle torture, particularly on the MacBook Pro!

Write Protect SDHC - Not
I am using this on a 2018 MacBook Pro.I haven't had the chance to use all the I/O ports that this offers yet, but what I have used seem to work fine with one exception. If you write protect your SD Card, this docking station ignores it. The write protect slider on SD cards only trips a flag, and it is up to the device to honor that write protect "suggestion" or ignore it. This docking station ignores it.Normally this wouldn't necessarily be a problem, but on some of the older CPAP machines it is. When you plug in your SD card, Mac OS X writes a few hidden folders and numerous files to the card. I can freely write to, and delete from a "write protected" card as well. On certain CPAP machines, these hidden files tend to wreak havoc or render useless further use of that modified card in the user's CPAP machine. This is a problem with the Resmed S8 CPAP machine and perhaps the Resmed S9. It doesn't seem to be a problem withe the Resmed Airsense 10 or Resmed AirCurve 10 models. My personal dislike is that it is rather large and bulky. If I could do a do-over, I would opt for several smaller, interface-specific devices instead of one big all-in-one unit. I have four ports on my MBP, but if you have very few ports, and don't care about write protecting your SD cards, this might serve your needs quite well.

Awesome!
This docking station is perfect! I love that I can use all my external devices at the same time without having to switch the out because of a lack of ports!! It’s small so it fits well in my workspace!!

Was great
Unit started out working perfectly. For months it was as good as items twice as expensive. Its not holding up. Having issues with erratic mouse behavior on the screens. Tried different mice. When the LT is opened, which changes the resolution, we now have problems. This did not happen in the beginning.
