Works great with a few moving head spotlights
We use it to control two moving head spotlights independently. This device is easy to use for manual controls and not too difficult to program automatic operation.

Decent budget controller.
Arrived quickly. Was not compatible with my wireless DMX lights. I was able to change out the wireless card with the correct one, but not everyone is an engineer like me. Board works fine for what it is.

Good functionality, nice portability, horrible manual.
If you have some DMX programming experience, its not too bad. Simple setup. Each fixture or group of fixtures you want to individually control get set to one of 12 buttons, Set the addresses in groups of 16. Your first device(s) is 1, 2nd device(s) is 17, 3rd device(s) is 33, etc. Doesn't matter if your device has 16 channels in use, that's how this board breaks it up. You can program more granularly than this but live manual control become a pain.Save Scene: Hit set until it blinks, activate the fixtures you want and set them with the faders. You need access to the upper 8 channels? hit the page button and zero out the faders. It wont affect the previously set channels. When changing fixtures, you can re-zero out the faders once the previous fixture is set the way you want it and de-selected. When you have the scene the way you want it, press MIDI.ADD then the scene number. Once you hit 8 scenes, bank up to the next bank and keep going. It wasn't the most intuitive process but once you get it down, it goes pretty quickly. Overall, This is a pretty nice controller. Knocked off a star because the manual isn't very well written.Advice: Hire a native language speaker who also speaks your language to translate your manuals. Who you have now isn't very good.

Defective? and indecipherable manual
Highly suspect I was sent a used and defective item. The box was torn in several places and the so-called manual had been crumpled up and crammed inside the box—possibly by a deservedly frustrated former owner? And as for the manual? Four folded sheets of what might as well have been hieroglyphics. To qualify, I know what the terms device, scene, chase mean and how they figure in lighting effects. Seemingly, whoever wrote this piece of trash doesn’t know that there is a standardized parlance for DMX programming. One that is quite helpful in explaining how the features of a controller function. This manual is just a bunch of goofball names for functions thrown together in twisted sentences that just leave one completely at sea concerning the operation. So…putting the manual and my rising doubts aside, I tried to see if I could at least control one PAR or more.Adhering to the industry standard of one multi-channel light set at d001 and a second connected device at d008 (using 7 channel PARs for test), I set the projector (their word for device) on what should be Chan 1.At this point, different faders SHOULD control RGB and combos of these in a steady illumination. A single color with no fade, jump, or strobe. NOPE. Instead only one fader did anything at all and it appeared to be running some random program that hadn’t even been set.Just to see how defective this thing is I persevered. As mentioned, I had daisy-chained another PAR (all brand new cables, BTW) and set it to various addresses. I set the controller at what should be channel 2 and tried every fader; zilch, no light. After an hour and a half spent switching lights, cables, and trying different channels I gave up in disappointment and frustration. Some reviews describe success, so maybe it’s possible with this product. I will say the unit is sturdy, compact, with neatly laid out controls. So, yay for all that, I guess. But, for me, this item is going back, like, today. I’ve already ordered another brand that has a proven performance and instruction video on YT.

Gets the job done
The instructions are somewhat clear, but it helps to have a little knowledge of how DMX control works when setting this up. The simplicity of it is perfect for my use case, however, after just over a half year of owning it, one of the buttons already stopped working.

Difficult to use
While the controller does work, using it is not intuitive. I have several Chauvet controllers that I use for bigger projects. I bought this just to have an easily portable controller for testing props. I had to get out the manual to figure out how to et the basic functions working.
