I thought these would be complicated to put together but they turned out to be pretty simple. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I used an electric drill which made assembly really quick. The last couple of piece where you have to use their socket-thingy was a little slow going same as using a socket wrench in any tight spot.I have an 8' folding table and bad knees, so I assembled them on the table after Thomas Watersealing them. Recommend sealing. My daughter bought the same set and didn't seal, and her's look pretty weathered. The sealing makes the wood look nice and it will hold up to the harsh Florida sun.

Hands down the best chair I’ve ever owned. It’s the only chair that doesn’t hurt my back after sitting in for a while.I sat in one of these chairs probably 20+ years ago and never forgot it. Since then I’ve been set on just building one myself. ….. so that never happened even thought I did my research multiple times. 20 years later I see this one on Amazon and it was foldable for ($59 I think) I jumped right on it! It arrived early and I put it together immediately and I’ve been sitting in it ever since. I’m 6’ 235#, this chair fits me perfectly. And it’s feels very sturdy. It did sound stressed when I fell back in it, so I won’t do that anymore. Like anything else, just take care of it.FYI The paint is flat or a primer…. IDK , it works for me. Also, the cheaper price may be from the fact you have to assemble. Not a big deal. After you unpack it will take 30 minutes to an hour for most people. Best to follow instructions. All you need is a drill or Phillips head screw driver the little pocket wrench they supply.I’ll be ordering more soon. The next one I will try an XXL to get more width?

Not too bad to put together. I thought the chairs look attractive and nice. We have one problem though. One chair was not complete. We’re missing a leg. Will update this. Wrote the seller to try to get a replacement leg without it. the other chair is useless. Outside of that, though we were happy with the chair that is completed.

BEWARE. We ordered 3 sets of the “2 chair” option and only received 5 of our 6 chairs. We reported this to the seller and they are unwilling to help us resolve this problem and have not sent the missing chair that we paid for.Also, we assembled the 5 we received and all chairs were different. The pieces were flimsy, some wood was cracked, and some chairs had not screws than others. Don’t waste your time or money on a company that clearly is trying to screw their customers.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wood and ease of assembly. The directions were easy to follow (even for me) and it took me 30-40 mins to assemble one chair. There weren't any splinters or cracked wood and the hardware was good stuff along with the hex tool to tighten. You will need a #2 Philips head screwdriver and you will want a screw gun or it could take awhile. My only regret is that instead of the "brown" finish I ordered, I would have chosen the next darker option in brown. I'm 6-3 and 270 lbs and it actually fits me pretty well. They fold up easy enough and pretty inexpensive compared to the competition imo. I have no plans to leave them out all year in the elements and I may add a clear coat of UV protection.

Nice looking. Yes. Affordable. Also yes. A pain in the ass to put together. Absolutely. No parts are labeled and the pilot holes were not drilled well enough to allow screws to go in completely so I've had drill new holes. Probelem is, now I have a drill bit stuck in one of the pilot holes. I guess the wood will be fairly durable once it is assembled but this is ridiculous. Spend a little more somewhere else and save your valuable time.

All hardware is clearly labeled. Assembly manual is well done and easy to follow and the pictures identify all the parts very clearly. Took me about half an hour to assemble. I advise using a power screwdriver as there are several screws to install and it will save your hand. On the seat bottom there is one piece that goes across to join the left and right frame rails. If you install that one first, you won't be able to install the rest of the seat slats. The pre-drilled holes are off and will pull those two rails in to far so you can't line up the rest of the slats. Other then that, the seats are very nice. I have to protect them with a sealant but that's no big deal.
