G2 Carbon Fiber Trekking Poles Telescopic/EVA Foam Grip/Foam Padded Wrist Strap/Auto-Adjustable Strap/Quick Flip Lock (Pack of 2 Poles)

I love to hike, but am not that stable sometimes, so these are a perfect solution. So much lighter than my trusty walking stick and I love that they collapse to a manageable size when not in use. As a photographer, I need them out of the way when I am setting up the tripod and gear for a shot so I put a carabiner on the handle strap and they can hang off my belt while i work. Very well made and lightweight, love them!

Take it from an avid long-time hiker and trekking pole user: These Poles are a steal! I used to be an exclusive Black Diamond guy, but I grew tired of paying the price. I finally found these poles which are terrific in every regard. They accept Black Diamond z pole replacement tips. Great Price. I have now bought 3 pair. They are not z poles, but I very rarely collapsed my BD's, so that is not a big deal for me. They are not as light as z poles - but close enough. I don't really feel the difference. Love 'em!

G2 Trekking/Hiking poles are solid. The carbon fiber sections are lightweight and rigid for the same price as others aluminum poles. The flip lock levers hold tight when properly adjusted and the pole sections stay clamped securely. The poles don't flex or creak with a lot of of downward pressure on them. The handles are contoured dense foam with comfortable looped hand straps. The length markings are easy to adjust the height.However I have 2 dislikes. There are limited tip options other than the carbide metal tip with the 1 rubber boot and 2 sizes of snowflake tips for the ice & snow. I would have liked a set of thick round rubber tips versus the thin rubber boot tip. The other issue is these poles are long, much longer than I anticipated as they are ~25" fully collapsed and don't fit into even a 50L backpack.But these are the most strong and solid poles I have, though the size and tip options don't make it nearly as practical for my regular hikes where I want something to pull out on a steep descents as helping me survive Grand Canyon South Kaibab & Bright Angel trails. The G2 carbon fiber poles were light to lash to my pack. The firm grips allowed me lean my weight down onto the poles to save my knees with every 1.5 feet steep drop per trail level on the switchbacks. On smooth rock surfaces, the pole's carbide tip pressed firmly into the rock surface without slipping. The pair was like an extra set of hands to steady and balance my way down and up the 2 trails making the hikes safer and less strenuous.

These were really nice trekking poles. I just had to return them because I needed something more sturdy for my EDS hands/wrists and elbows. I thought they could replace my forearm crutches, but I was mistaken. Should be great for other hikers w/o these conditions. I loved that they are latex-free and cork free. Handles were comfortable.
