second time buying and this one sucks but they company made it right
- update: the company made it right.they sent us a replacement and we are happy to see a company that wants to keep their customers satisfied with their purchases.Thank you againwe have purchased from this company before and the shade lasted several years before tearing at a seam, it lived through wind storms, hail, as well as some snow.we purchased again thinking these are amazing products but this time the material is subpar and has been tearing on the face of the shade and now is just a perforated mess.we are hoping the seller does right by us but we are waiting to hear back from them.I want to trust their products but not sure they are using the same quality material they used to.

Well made cover
The media could not be loaded. I purposely got the cover to go over the pergola and reach the house. My only regret was not purchasing the cables and screws. I wish the product came with it (for as expensive as it was). I had it up on the pergola for several months and extended it out during December to keep the area nearest the house free from inclement weather. It did withstand some pretty severe winds (kudos). If I had the cables and the correct screws it would have stayed up longer. I will have to buy the cables before I put it back up.

Better than I expected.
When I first got the sunshade I immediately noticed the great stitching quality. This is the first time I ever purchased something like this and I was expecting it to be a lower quality. I installed it over my pergola and it fit perfectly. It's been up for about 3 months and it has survived the windiest of days with no tears. It survived the rains and didn't leak. Overall it's a great product.Pros: well made, comes in multiple sizes, great color selectionCons: None at the moment. I'll update after seeing how well it fares against the UV this summer. If this review was helpful be sure to click the "Helpful" button below. Cheers!

Not fit for purpose
Extremely disappointed. This is not fit for purpose. It did not last 6 months outside. Seller will not refund. It did not even have to support its own weight. It is lying over a 10-year old awning that is still intact.

Very difficult to get a taut shade sail that sheds the rain....
We bought the waterproof shade sail in beige to cover a yoga area for a Yoga Retreat. We ran plastic covered metal cable around the perimeter through the grommets and left an loop on each corner the size of the D-ring so we could attach to both the D-ring and the cable at each corner and to help support the tension of this 21 X 24 ft shade sail. We had our handyman help with the instalation (as it takes a lot of strength to install) and there are a couple of things we learned. We waited until the shade sale was delivered to install our posts and even then we should have allowed more distance between the corners of the sail and the posts to allow for greater tensioning. We needed ratchet tensioners to get an adequate tension to shed the rain. We also needed guy wires to each of our posts. When the retreat was over we took it down to save it and before we re-install we will fill the metal posts with rebar and concrete to make them stronger. We also will hire a professional rigger to re-install it and learn how to do it properly. As DYI's we made it work and it looked great and it shed the rain but it was a tough job getting it taut and required some creative solutionsSunshade Depot did not send any installation instruction or information with the shade sail. One of the D-rings on one of the corner sprung open under tension (it must not have been properly shouldered closed) so we replaced with a cable. Also the "Super Heavy Duty" installation hardware bought separately on Amazon (also without instructions from Sunshade Depot) Sunshades Depot Square Rectangle Sun Shade Sail Steel Wire Advance Hardware kit Set 8 Inches Super Heavy Duty Installation Accessories Kitwas useless and not nearly heavy duty enough... We would suggest buying your own hardware at your local hardware store.

Ripped along seam w border within 8 months.
Loved this initially. We had it attached by four corners and a few of the grommets over our hot tub. Looks great, but over 8 months and some fairly normal windiness, there grew a rip at the seam between the material and the border. Very disappointed bc it’s $125 and only has a 30-day money back guarantee. I’ll try to sew it or do some kind of tarp repair. Sigh.

So far so good
I bought this to cover my pergola to keep away rain and sun. It’s only been up for a few weeks but so far so good. It was cut straight and exactly as ordered. I installed it myself and it was relatively easy. It has repelled the rain and the high winds we had today did no damage.
