I tried these on the trails in a homemade hobo stove (sink strainer and hitch pin clips) to see what they could do. I'm impressed. It boiled enough water for coffee (10 oz) then I continued on to boil noodles in an improvised chicken noodle soup (8 oz). I blew it out, and got two relights- enough to get hot water for cocoa and washing the dishes. I have no doubt if it wasn't awfully windy, as it was, the burn time would be even better. Yes, they smell like fuel tabs, because they are. But these perform very well. I had been using a different brand, and one of these is like three of those. I will be getting more when I run low. Recommend.

These come in a hard case and are individually wrapped so they stay dry and you can easily pack only a few that you need. They light quick and easily with a hot burn that lasts pretty long. plenty of time to get even some damp sticks to burn. Was very helpful in the wood camp stove during my week long camping trip with rain every day

This fuel is easy to carry, easy to light, and less expensive than other options. I think this would be great as a fire starter and might be good for backpacking to heat water & such. I could not, however, get a small pot with 400ml of water to boil with one tablet on a 60 degree F day with a wind shield. Adding a second tablet resulted in a small boil...probably good enough. I wish I had bought the 15 gram version. Maybe one of those would boil water. The total burn time was right at 12 minutes with a useable flame lasting almost 10 minutes. I did not notice any smell from the packaged tablets, however, the residue left on my stove gave off a pretty rank odor - even after serious cleaning . This, however, is not unique to Godora - everyone's fuel tablets stink. I'm going to give the 15 gram tablets a shot.

Handy camping item.

Could not find sterno anywhere that was reasonably priced. There must be a shortage or some reason why the prices for simple chafing dish gel have inflated so much. Bought these to try out and they worked like a charm. Kept the party food hot and 1 burns for quite a while. I added a 2nd tab about 45 minutes later to prolong the heat until my guests were done with the food. Easy to use. Comes in a storage case. A friend from another state found sterno a lot cheaper and shipped me a few cases. So I am saving the rest of these tabs for our family camping trips.

I have purchased these twice now. I like that they come in a plastic case for shipping to keep them from breaking. As per usual, they smell like seafood but I haven't found a solid fuel tab that doesn't so it's just part of the deal. It says they burn for 12-13 minutes, I get 10 max but that's about average too. For the money they are a great source for your solid fuel stove.EDIT to add an update. Since my original review, I have ordered these in the larger quantity boxes. They come loose packed and the first delivery a few months ago only a couple were broke. Today's delivery about 1/2 were broken with 13 of them being pretty bad. I added pictures. A little padding in the box to keep them from breaking would be a good thing.

Initially we needed these for a science fair project dealing with alchemy. We ended up only needing one but saved the rest for our buyout bag. Smart purchase and I’ll recommend any day! They light well and burn smooth, the storage container is a bonus!
