Worst freeze dried manti
I've lived in Turkey and manti was one of my favorite dishes. I was looking for a "quick fix" instead of making it myself. This is terrible. If they don't fall apart then they're hard as a rock. And whatever "meat" product was used tastes like dirt. As they boil half will separate and the others won't cook right. There is no consistency. I was very disappointed to have a favorite food of mine end up like this.

Dried Turkish Raviolis Took 25 Minutes To Cook But Pieces Range In Texture From Mushy To Hard
Kral Traditional Turkish Stuffed Manti are also known as Turkish Raviolis but based on their shape they look like mini dumplings to me. The plastic bag holds 1.1lb of dried raviolis. The cooking instructions are simple. You just need to boil 4 liters (20 cups) of beef broth or water, add salt to taste (manufacturer listed a spoon of salt), add the package of Manti and boil for 20-25 minutes. I cooked mine for 25 minutes and oddly I had pieces where the wrapping was mushy and some were downright hard. The flavor of the Manti is on the mild side despite it including bold flavored ingredients like mint, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder. I was not a fan of the texture of the filling as it had a graininess that wasn't pleasant. The manufacturer recommends topping the Manti with yogurt, garlic, sauce, and butter. I tried it with yogurt and garlic which I thought was fine, but our family really enjoyed eating the Manti with the beef broth we cooked it in. I know that this is not the traditional way to enjoy Manti but I thought it was most complimentary with the Manti. The ingredients include wheat flour, water, pasteurized albumen, salt, wheat loofah, onion, bread crumbs, heat processed beef mince, partially hydrogenated herbal oil, salt, mint, black pepper, flaked red pepper, potassium sorbate, and garlic powder. It is a Product of Turkey. The best by date for the product that I received is 7 months from the date that I received it. I think it is a fine product but I don't see myself purchasing this product in the future.

Product Feedback
Pretty sure the batch i received was bad. There was a terrible smell and taste. 10/10 do NOT recommend. We had to throw it away because of how bad it tasted.

Bland and al dente proof
I realize that many cultural foods have nostalgic meaning that mean more than taste. That being said, I've never had these before, so I am judging them just on what they are. The first problem is with the cooking directions. It says to cook for 20-25 minutes. If you do that, they completely fall apart and the filling comes out. For my second try, I went with 13-15 minutes and that was more successful. One annoying aspect to cooking these is that they float while cooking, so you have to constantly stir them otherwise they don't cook consistently and half of it will be cooked while the other half is still hard. The most disappointing part of these has to be the ravioli filling. It's mince beef and has zero flavor and an odd grainy texture. Overall, there was nothing good about these. 2 stars just for nostalgic potential.

Bland but edible
I've never had manti before, so I wasn't quite sure what sort of sauce to make to go with these. I ended up doing a buttery tomato sauce and they came out alright. There are no cooking instructions on the packaging, so be sure to refer back to the listing for directions - I boiled mine for 20 minutes in water with salt and olive oil. They came out plump and the insides were properly rehydrated. They have a flavor you would expect of dehydrated, shelf-stable ravioli. The filling vaguely resembles meat, but isn't particularly flavorful. I think the majority of the flavor you get from these will be from the sauce. They were fine with the tomato sauce I made, but I think they'd be better with a creamy sauce (I see one made with butter and yogurt is traditional, and I imagine that would be an improvement over what I made). I'm not sure that I would order these again, but for a quick and easy meal they aren't too bad.

Filling is bland, better with flavorful sauces
My family likes trying new foods and loves dumplings, so Kral Manti sounded promising.I think something is lost in translation on the ingredient list unless I really ate wheat loofah, black and red paper. The filling doesn't taste that bad, but it is bland. I don't taste any of the spices or a meaty flavor. I cooked it in water, but I would recommend cooking it in beef broth for more flavor. I also overcooked some of the dough, because I thought the meatballs weren't done. I guess they are just firmer than I expected. The pasta looked a bit brown to begin with, but it didn't taste burnt. The dough that was firmer tasted better, so I would recommend checking it often and closer to 20 minutes of cook time.Since sauces are not included, I looked online for a recipe and found one from Food & Wine. I made a yogurt sauce with greek yogurt and minced garlic, and I made tomato-butter sauce with unsalted butter, tomato sauce and paprika. The sauces were delicious and helped make the manti more palatable.I imagine that fresh versions of this dish are very flavorful, but this packaged version is not. It might fulfill a craving if you are unable to make your own, but they will probably need a bit of doctoring to help the flavor. It can be improved with good sauces.
