Blissfully Pregnant...
I absolutely love this book - it has been such a wonderful additional to me spiritual library and is such an asset to having a happy, healthy, spiritual pregnancy. I have been so inspired by this book and a few others and am planning a blessingway ceremony for my son instead of a traditional baby shower this time around - all inspired initially by this book and my quest for a more spiritually connected pregnancy...I would love to have read this with my first pregnancy and am so glad to have been guided to it during my current pregnancy - it is so simple to learn the meditations and the affirmations are straight forward and simple, too - I just get something great spiritually from it every time I pick it up.I would definitely recommend this to any expectant moms, but especially first-timers who can easily be overwhelmed by all the tests and dr visits which can take away from the beautiful experience of pregnancy and birth. Having to have a scheduled c-section this time around, I wanted to make sure to allow this pregnancy to be as natural and as spiritually fulfilling as possible since I can't exactly have the natural birth that I was hoping for, but I am ok with that after knowing how connected I am to my son now through these techniques and suggestions. My friend is reading this book during her first pregnancy and I am so glad that I was able to recommend it to her to help her get in touch with the spiritual side of her pregnancy and to help her and I both to connect to the little souls who we are helping bring into the world... so wonderful!!!

This book changed my pregnancy for the better :) I gift this to all my pregnant girlfriends
This book changed my pregnancy. I went from having the normal, conventional hospital birth to birthing at home with a midwife in a pool. I didn't end up being able to have a home birth, but her book opened me to a whole other world of natural birthing options.I even ended up joining Gurmukh's Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training in LA, which was one of the best decisions I've made. It was so beautiful to attend a workshop like that while pregnant! She doesn't teach prenatal yoga herself anymore, but her yoga studios in NY & LA still do - so do it live if you can (sadly, her beautiful yoga center in Hollywood recently shut down - it was such a beautiful building & community). This is Kundalini yoga, so will be a bit different for those who've only practiced Hatha etc, but I love Kundalini. I buy this and Gurmukh's prenatal DVD for my pregnant girlfriends, along with a copy of The Sacred Pregnancy Journal by Anni Daulter. Makes for such a beautiful pregnancy (I know I've used the word beautiful 3x in this post but don't feel like thinking that hard with a newborn).

The best pregnancy book ever!
Gurmukh is an Los Angeles-based yoga teacher with a positive, uplifting attitude. I desperately needed her take on pregnancy after skimming through What to Expect When You’re Expecting, which practically left me in tears. It gives the expecting mother every horrible what-if situation to ponder and worry about. No thanks. But back to this fabulous book. Gurmukh offers meditations and mantras for all stages of pregnancy. She talks about creating a sacred space, eating habits, letting go of past hurts and really preparing to become a mother. I can honestly say that I laughed and cried while reading this book (not on the same day). So if you’re planning on a baby you must order it now. And by all means, it makes the perfect gift for any lady expecting.

I love this book.
This is a great book if you don't have lots of time to read. The chapters are small and end with a meditation so it is a great way to give yourself and baby at least that 10 minutes a day to connect with each other and to feel the calm. Buy it, you'll be glad you did. I'm probably going to do these meditations even after birth because kundalini is meant for everyone, not just expecting mothers. That said the meditations chosen for this book really are the best ones that an expecting Mom could do :)

Wonderful
As a first-time mom, my first trimester was a really difficult time - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This book was recommended to me by a friend (also pregnant) that I know from yoga, so it was the first thing I read - and I am SO glad for that. It really helped me to see the bigger picture, align my perspective, and allowed me to relax into the experience at a time when I REALLY needed it. It got me through my first trimester, and I have found myself revisiting it throughout pregnancy. Excellent book!

I agree with my yoga teacher. This book is the best instruction!
I have found that most of my prenatatl yoga classes are based on chapters of this book. I can read it and follow along. Anyone can leisurely read this book, do the practice and be mindfully prepared for childbirth and cope with pregnancy in a very cheerful and relaxed way. I'm very happy with this purchase!

Must read for pregnant women!
This is a must read for pregnant women and I think mothers will enjoy too! It is so uplifting and informative. I really enjoyed reading this! I wish I knew about it sooner. I had met a girl in my kundalini prenatal yoga class when I was about 4 months pregnant and she raved about the book- also said that she wished she knew about it sooner. I wasn’t in a rush to get it but did read most of it before I gave birth. This book isn’t just for yogis!! It’s really written for everyone with beautiful stories about women from all walks of life!
