I love these! I use them every day!
I have misophonia and I need to wear earplugs nearly all the time. So it's very easy for me to lose them. The foam kind that you squish up are usually very uncomfortable and I don't like them at all, even though they are rated for more sound dampening than this style (by just a bit).(see below for tips on how to use effectively)These, however are perfect and affordable. You can buy basically the same thing that are just 1 or 2 sets for the same price as all of these. They are nearly identical except these have the cord that holds them together. Also, if you don't lose them, a pair can last quite a long time, especially if you clean them whenever they get a bit dirty.I don't like the cord, personally, because if I put the plugs in, I can hear the cord every time it touches my neck or whatever (I know that sounds bonkers, but try it in a quiet place and you should be able to hear it too). Since I often wear these when it's already fairly quiet, I find that maddening. However, if you are wearing these for really loud things like work or a concert, the cord will be awesome because it will help you keep the earplugs together and not get lost, and most people will probably never even notice the sound of the cord like I do, or it won't bother them even if they do.The cord is also removable! You can just pull it out of the plugs. I take it one step further and actually cut off the part that sticks out. For some reason, all of these silicone earplugs have the really long stem coming out. I guess the idea is to help you get it out of your ear, to just pull it out by the stem. But the stem really sticks out, so it makes the earplugs more noticeable (I'm shy about wearing these in front of people because they are for my disorder and not to actually protect my hearing) and they are also not as comfortable when laying in bed, especially on my side. So I cut them off. They are still super easy to get out of my ears. I just sort of push down on them and drag them so that they come out. The stem is soft silicone, though, so it might not bother you at all and you might like that it makes them super easy to remove.NOTE: People have complained that these fall out easily or they don't actually block sound well. It's important to put them in a certain way to get the best out of them, at least on first use:<TLDR>: play with it a bit, wiggle it around, pull on your ear with your other hand a bit... this is normal. In the beginning of using a pair, I find they don't stay in the first time I use them, right at first. I think it's just that they are basically too clean (sorry, I know that's a bit gross). I sometimes take the smallest bit of coconut oil and put them in my hand and roll them around a bit. This seems to help. Otherwise, just putting them in a bit further does the same thing to help them stay in. In other words, if they don't stay in as well as you'd like at first, that's totally normal. Any brand does the same (and I've tried quite a few). Also, if they don't seem to block sound well, especially on first use, they aren't in your ears properly. Use your other hand to pull the top of your ear up and back, and then push it in your ear canal. Pulling your ear helps widen your ear canal a tiny bit. You can sort of pull and wiggle your ear a bit while you insert the earplug the first time.I have to play with the earplug for a minute to get it positioned right in my ear canal. You can just wiggle it around to get a good fit. Once you do, they stay in very well.Once I've worn them a time or two, the above routine is unnecessary. I just stick them in, wiggle them around to get them just right, and I'm good to go. Also, since I often need to wear these when people are talking to me, I can just wiggle them a bit so they aren't in so far and it muffles some sounds but lets me hear people talking. They are extremely versatile.Since I wear earplugs (or earbuds) almost 24 hours a day, it's important to clean your ears a lot as normally your ear canals aren't cut off like that. Also, I clean the earplugs. Nothing fancy or complicated. I just use a q-tip in my ears after a shower (I know, you're definitely not supposed to do that! Don't tell anyone!) and then use another q-tip to clean the earplugs. This keeps me from getting any kind of ear problems. So if you need hearing protection for any reason, these are awesome. They are also a super great value for what you get.

Excellent ear pro
Excellent ear pro. Blocks the sound when riding my motorcycle, ears don't ring at the end of a ride. Don't cause pressure point, very comfortable

Good motorcycle hearing protection
These tethered ear plugs work well to lessen the roadway din while riding my motorcycle. Being tethered makes them less difficult to lose. They may let more sound in than the expanding foam design but they appear to insert into my ears more easily.

Not for loud noises
Is air plugs are only good for quieting soft cloud noises. Anything louder than I would say 80 dB I would go with something more substantial like your muffs Or expanding foam ear plugs. That being said, the quality is not bad. They fit decently and you hardly know they're there. I do like that they come individually wrapped so you can stick them in your pocket or a backpack or even in a glove Box and know that when you need them they will be clean. The tether is a bit long in can be cumbersome depending on what you're doing while using them.

Great product
These ear plugs are great, soft, easy to use and the string keeps them around your neck if you pull them from your ears

Great ear plugs. They cut out major noise but still allow you to hear when talking one on one
