Very good smoke alarm
Had a couple of this brand now and the newer models always seem to fit to the older models bracket which makes fitting super easy never had any problems I would highly recommend

Peace of mind
This replaced a 10 year old smoke detector that I had installed at home.To fit it I just screwed the baseplate into the ceiling with the supplied screws and twisted the smoke detector onto it. Once in place, I pressed the test button and got a beep to confirm it is working. I would have liked it to be a bit louder but these are widely used so I am sure that it will be fine if ever smoke is detected.

One irritating fault.
This seems to be a good product except for one irritating fault.This alarm attached to a base plate that you screw to the wall or ceiling. On the paper instructions there is even a template for where to drill pilot holes. So far, so good. What they don't tell you though is that if the screw holes are horizontal or vertically aligned, when you screw the unit on, it will be at a weird angle and very much not straight and centred - how annoying that will be. So you have to eyeball it and drill pilot holes at about 10 to 5 to give a clock face analogy. WTF haven't you lined the screw holes up so if they are horizontal the unit screws on and lines up!!!!! Get your act together.
