Works great
Gives accurate tension measurements that are helpful when sewing with different threads on my long arm when quilting. What I’d like to see from machine and thread manufacturers is recommended tension settings in actual numbers and units. Currently it’s just a guessing game of “feeling” the tension. That’s just not good enough. Overall, this is a great tool for any sewist.

Takes the guess work out!
Works exactly as described. The people giving low stars failed at reading the description. It says body only, it’s not a quality control issue . The bobbin piece is available in the options for like 12 bucks. The top thread tension takes a bit of trying out to get the hang of it. Highly suggest YouTube videos .

Tremendous help
Instructions show functionbut not what range is optimum. Had to find experts on You Tube, but really helped me solve tension issues.

Worth every penny!
Towa digital bobbin case tension gauge is very easy to use. Setup is pretty straight forward. The hardest part is pulling the thread at a steady speed. Watch the videos available online videos, well made and easy to follow. You will not regret purchasing this unti....just don't forget to buy the appropriate bobbin case insert.

Buyer beware, mine wouldn't power up.
Did not work. I tried 2 sets of brand new batteries (which I tested in remote control to be sure the batteries were good) and the gauge would not turn on. Is there no quality testing? How do you ship a unit that won't even turn on? WAY too expensive for something so cheap that it won't turn on. I returned it an ordered the manual one as I don't trust them to ship me a working one.
