Munchkin XTRAGUARD Dual Action Multi Use Latches (4 Count)

I got these latches for our antique china cabinet. I didn't want to have to screw anything into it, but the magnetic latches that it has are not very strong. (sometimes the doors pop open when you walk by quickly) I use the cabinet almost everyday, so I wanted a latch that would allow easy access for me but not our 1 year old. These worked perfectly! They stick on with a strong adhesive, and they latch and unlatch quickly and easily for easy access. They are also easy for other people to figure out without a tutorial (which is great and helpful!)I haven't removed one yet, so I'm not sure if it will ruin the finish on the cabinet, but I imagine these latches will be on the cabinet for many years and children to come - so we will cross that bridge when we get there! For now, they are exactly what I needed.

Ordered them twice for all the chest drawers and cabinets and they work great. Easy to open and close for adults. I tried to be smart by joining two chest drawers with one strip thinking if my son pulls on the drawer handle it wont open!! silly me, because now he pulls on the strap of this lock itself and pulls BOTH drawers out at the same time...my fault!! haha..so just a tip. Otherwise the product installation is a breeze (just make sure you clean the surface or the adhesive will attach to the dirt and debri). I have not had a chance to remove tham, so cannot comment on how easy / difficult it is. On the whole they work as it should with ease of installation, use and intended function of keeping things locked up from little kids.

I have been buying these for 5 years and am still so pleased with them. My oldest is now 4 and has figured out how to open them, but hes also old enough to go in drawers on his own. Little kids dont have the dexterity or strength to open them and give up quickly if they try. Easy for adults, though. I used to use the traditional cabinet locks but they were so hit or miss that I now buy these for anything I need to lock. Ive also moved houses and the adhesive comes off the wall easily. My favorite place to use these is on the gate at the bottom of the stairs. We have a baby gate wrapped around the stair spindle on one side by a leather belt, and we use these munchkin straps to lock the other side to the wall. Keeps the kiddos safe and easy for me and hubs to swing open when going up and down. Great, secure product.

These worked really well for us for a few cabinets we had that needed child proofed. We also have found they work wonderfully on our lazy susan in the kitchen. There are clips for those that you can buy, but then you can only turn it one way. With these we just attached it to one side and we can use it either way. There is a little bit of give (maybe a cm), but its not enough for baby to get their fingers pinched at all. I haven't had to take one off so I can't attest to that being easy or hard, but I know that we've had them up almost a year and they are still working great. It would have been nice if they sold them in our stores, but ordering on Amazon is just as easy.

I’m using them to lock the toilets shut. They are easy for an adult to release and reattach. I put them toward the front just off center so it was obvious. They conveniently spin when released so not a problem when toilet is in use.

Very nice, simple product that works perfectly...for now at least! We currently use 2 of these locks to stop our 1year old from accessing the range oven and also the glass doors covering our fireplace. So far so good! VERY easy to install (takes a few seconds just to align where you want to put them, then simple adhesive backs stick them in place. Would definitely recommend, especially for attaching to glass or stainless steel.

I like these way better than the other name brand I tried. these are a lot more durable and you can use either side to unlock and open the door / fridge whatever you are using them on. We have one on our fridge and bottom mount freezer. Tried one on a door but it ripped off paint and all. Its ok I mainly needed them for appliances and they work wonders on them. Sorry kids you're locked out of eating butter and drinking ketchup from the fridge.

These are wonderful child locks for appliances. They are easy to install and easy to use.The other unique benefit we found is that by adding them to freezers and making them part of our routine, we can ensure that the freezer doors are never left slightly ajar since you have to push them shut all the way to latch the child locks.
