I bought this magnet for Magnet Fishing and occasionally go out to the local docs and beaches. First and foremost, when you get this magnet, make sure you glue the eyelet to the base, you don't want the chance of loosing it. Second, make sure you have strong and long enough line to make this work for you.I've also used this for find lost nuts bolts in the yard, I had a tool that went down a pipe that I used this to pull it up 10 feet worth of piping with no issues. Will pull anything towards it within 6-8 inches.

So I stuck it on a steel chair and pulled it right off with maybe 10 pounds of force. And so my first impression was WTF it’s weak AF. So I stuck it to the steel beam in my basement that supports the house and now I can’t get it off. Jokes on me. It is very powerful! Also don’t wear expensive analog watches while handling these things.

Very strong, there was times I could barely get it off of what it stuck to. Be very careful not to get your fingers pinched between the magnet and the steel. The only downside I have is that after it scratches it seems like it kind of rusts but it could be surface rust from all the steel shavings that stick to it. Couldn't ask for a better magnet

I really like the price of this magnet. Ive used it over 100 times(plastidipped) amd it hasnt done me wrong once... Outside of getting stuck to the side of my chevy xD

Seen the video, got the link, paid and now I'm ready to find the treasure that will help me retire. Did the lock tight on the bolt, got the rope I liked and even used the rubber coating to help this lure last. If things work out right, I'm going pro next spring... Ha ha. Happy Hunting.

Purchased 2 for magnet fishing. Boyfriend badly injured 2 of his fingers and needed a new hobby to keep him happy n out in nature. First time found a Chinese throwing star, pocket folding knife, and lures on the lake bottom. All in excellent condition! Ended the afternoon with a game warden stopping him because of the 5 gallon bucket he used to carry the rope, gloves, rags, and snacks. Warden had never heard of magnet fishing and ended up taking pictures of the finds. Warden said he might put the pictures up on their website. Overall just a fun day n think he will continue this activity in the future!

Crazy powerful, picks up a 25 pound weight no problem. Probably picks up more, 25 pound is just the heaviest weight i have. Ive taken it magnet fishing and have pulled all kinds of stuff out of the water with them (i got two, one for a friend to use) Would totally suggest getting one if your interested in magnet fishing.

This magnet is of wonderful quality and strength, and turned out to be exactly what I needed, so I would like to give it a 5 star review. Unfortunately, it arrived 2 days late when it was advertised as available for next day pick up. I would have ordered a different magnet from a different vendor if I had known from the start that the item could not really arrive on time as advertised. Even the best tool is of limited value if it is not available at the time that you need it. Since the magnet is late, I can still use it, but most of my available free time and cooperative weather conditions to use the magnet for its intended purpose, to search for my expensive drone that landed in a swamp using a kayak, has passed for the next few weeks, so now the little free time and cooperative weather conditions that I have available are no longer what they were 2 days ago.
