Excellant Paperback
The quality of the paper , pictures and writing makes this a standout among travel books. This is a quality publication. If you check your local bookstore you may find few or even no books on Cambodia. After all the tourist industry is still relatively new for many parts of the world including Cambodia. If you are looking for some great photos, and a lot of general info about Cambodia this might very well fit into you library.

good overall updated info book
this book has a nice all around coverage of information. Our town has only two books on Cambodia ( in the kids section and several years old) at the county library. When my daughter had her missionary project it was difficult to find updated info. I found this book to meet all her needs, along with great color photos, statistics, and history.

Lacking
My family travels frequently, and I decided to try a different line of guidebook for this adventure. But neither my husband or I were impressed. It is definitely lacking in the map department. This is crucial in Cambodia where most people do not speak English (or read its alphabet), including the drivers. Communicating where you want to go often demands a map. Often restaurants and shops were only given a street name, which is very vague as the streets can be miles long. More reference points would be helpful when street numbers are not available. We were also not impressed by the recommendations offered. After trying a few, we decided to just chance what we ran across, which was ultimately more successful. We didn't feel that many of the recomendations were very authentic to the culture, either, but rather touristy. We also ended up going online while we were in Cambodia to find what we were looking for, a sure sign of a guidebook lacking in essential information. Of course, this is just our opinion based on our experience with the book.

Brilliant detail and information...
I have used other guides to Cambodia, the National Geographic provided more detail and interesting facts than all the others. Cambodia is an annual pilgrimage to volunteer and this year I will have a whole new perspective on the country. Can't wait to play "tourist"!!

Font is sooo tiny!
What good is making a "handbook" sized resource guide if the font is too tiny to read? Please make the text larger as the material is very helpful.
