Fatal Fury The OVA Collection

The Blue Ray edition of the First 2 Fatal Fury OVAs have been lovingly transferred to high def and are a great showpiece of what makes 90's anime so special.With a new Fatal Fury game in the works (thank god its been 23 years) this collection is a great entry into the characters especially the great Terry Bogard. Although the first OVA lacks in the visual and story department it does a great job setting the stage for the second OVA which in my opinion is one of the best videogame to anime adaptations ever second only to the follow up Fatal Fury the motion picture.With phenomenal fight scenes and a pretty good English dub makes this a must buy for any SNK fans as well as lovers of fighting games and 90s anime.The special features include commentary from the creator of the popular indi game "Skull girls" as well as popular (and hilarious) YouTube celebrity MattMcMuscles from Super best friends play, triple KO, and What happened and although I usually don't watch feature commentary these two gentleman created a funny, nostalgic and well informed dialogue into the South town legacy.Do yourself a favor and check out why this long dormant franchise still has respected characters to this day and if you can't tell.... Yes high recommends for this blu ray 👍

(1080p)- It is still presented in 2.0, but the sound still sounds pretty clear.-One of the bonuses exclusive to this release is the implementation of the deleted scene in Fatal Fury 2 with Joe, Big Bear and Cheng. While getting the VA’s back for these roles would of not been easy, the staff playing these parts did an amazing job sounding as close as possible to the originals (dub).The stories are amazing and I can’t really say much to those besides them being the stories to both Fatal Fury 1 and 2.Either way, please consider picking this release up. I’ve had them on vhs, dvd x 2 and now Blu-ray and I can say without a doubt I got my money’s worth.Can’t wait to see what Obari San does with KOFXV next!

I’m a huge fan of this series. Fatal Fury 2 being the best of the trilogy. While the first one is a heartfelt enjoyable anime. Picture quality is not a huge jump form DiscoTech’s previous DVD, however, this does show that delicate pencil work in perfect detail. The color is a bit more vivid without oversaturation. Verdict is that this is the best these anime can look. Like I said, FF2 is my favorite so I’m glad to see it in all its glory. Very happy.

I've been waiting years for the first two Fatal Fury movies to be remastered and I'm sure a lot of fighting game and anime fans have been as well. I was ecstatic when I found out that Discotek Media was putting out a Blu-ray release. The movies look absolutely fantastic. Discotek really is doing the lord's work by remastering classic movies for the fans.

Item arrived in good condition

I used to have both of these OVAs on VHS back in the mid 90s . I was so happy to find them both on one single blu ray. The visuals are high quality and look awesome on my large flat screen. This ova brought back a lot of good memories and it’s a must have for classic anime fans.

WAAAAAY better than the Motion picture movie but this anime had better story and fighting .Also the bluray really polished the animation . They did a great job on it.

I loved these movies as a kid and the Blu ray version is great! This includes both of the Fatal Fury movies that came out before the motion picture (which is also great). If you love Fatal Fury or anime based on games, you won't regret this purchase.
