If you just plan on using it for speakers it works amazing. The 5th Channel does not put out good power for 4 ohm subwoofer maybe if you use 2 ohm that are 200 rms and lower then it should be fine. Planet audio is a good quality amp just say away from 5th Channel amps!!

Big power
Brought for non-car project use, needed a ATX PSU to power the unit. But works well

Superb Amp
This 5-channel amp is superb. The quality is high. And it sounds amazing. If you want a dedicated channel for your sub, which is a smart idea if you have a strong power-hogging sub, and you don't have the space or just frankly don't want to deal with a mono amp just for your sub, then this Planet Audio AC1800.5 would be perfect for you.My last sub fried my older amp when I connected it. It almost burned down my entire car, but I caught the fire before it spread. So, I realized then that it would be best to buy a well-made, powerful amp with a dedicated channel for the sub.I find the subwoofer level control on this amp pretty useless. It's a separate part that you can keep in your dash that has a cable running to the amp. All it does it control the subwoofer level. Most head units can do this alone, so this is a useless part for me.Otherwise the other controls on the amp are pretty detailed. You can adjust almost every aspect you can think of. The wattage is also plenty for most sound systems. It was a little difficult to install, but frankly most amps are in many instances. I installed this into my 1990 BMW 325i. The best place to put an amp in my case is to attach it to the back wall in my trunk. But man... it was an absolute pain in the arse! Myself and two others struggled to line up holes and drill through the metal frame behind my backseats. It was a huge relief when we got it installed. It would be nice if Planet Audio had a template to make vertical installation easier.Just FYI: make sure everything is connected and the amp sounds how you want it to sound before installing it, especially if installing at an awkward place in your car. It's cool how the logo lights up, too.I do think the manual could be written better, though: It fails to mention what kind of fuse you need for the power cable. You can consider this amp as pricey. But you get A LOT with the amp: a ton of controls and dedicated channels. Plus it looks cool and performs superbly. It's great for any genre of music: rap, rock, metal, jazz, pop, etc. The longest I ran this amp at any one time was about 4 hours and it never shut off.A good amp is VITAL for a dependable, great sounding car audio system. Planet Audio can help you get there.Overall: 4.5 stars which rounds up to 5.This puppy will last for many years. Thanks, Planet Audio and Amazon!
