This will be quick. I ordered this set, potato masher and veggie peeler, because I needed them both and I am too old and tired to go shop for those two items. They arrived and I used the peeler to make some carrot shavings for my pup's meal. It is extremely sharp, floats and did the job I bought it for. About a week later, it's still working for me. The masher has yet to be put to the test. It looks fine. I held it comfortable in my hand. I'll come back if there is anything earth shattering to report. They are two basic kitchen utensils that work ,basically, well.

This masher/peeler pair is a great value. I would give it 5 stars if the gauge of the masher was a little thicker than it is.When I received my order, the items were shipped in an envelope package and the tines of the masher were bent. Spring Chef is not responsible for how their products are packaged for shipping. However, when I contacted Spring Chef about my masher being damaged in shipping, they very quickly offered to ship me a new set of these two utensils at no cost to me. That is fantastic customer service and should be rewarded. It was their customer service which led me to also order their set of measuring spoons (Spring Chef Measuring Spoons, Heavy Duty Oval Stainless Steel Metal, for Dry or Liquid - Fits in Spice Jar, Set of 7), which I love.

Fits well in my hand and mashes things quickly and evenly. I have small hands and am left-handed, so I appreciate that the masher fits comfortably in my hand, and doesn't seem to have any bias to handedness (some kitchen appliances have grooves meant for right-handed people, which make the grip uncomfortable for the left hand. It's a real problem, I promise!)

It is a solid piece of kitchen equipment. I have thrown it in the dishwasher several times, not rust spotting. It's only been a few months, but I am happy with this product so far.If there was ever a potato apocalypse where zombie potatoes take over the world, this would be my "go-to" weapon of choice. It smashes, mashes and does a fine job.A versatile tool, I found it also works on sweet potatoes, which is a nice bonus. Full disclosure, I have only tried sweet, Idaho, Yukon Gold and Russet potatoes. The picture implies it will smash red potatoes, but I haven't tired it on those yet.

we have gone through a few mashers that claim they are strong and tuff. some broke another masher because we are kinda hard on them with all the veggies we cook. for the price i said why not. got this and the next night we mashed up 20 pounds of spuds, 5 pounds of acorn squash and creamed up some corn for the family. this masher did not bend, come apart or lose its shape. the wife loved it. it is made of thick wire that holds its shape. the handle has a comfortable fit. now for the price it is a 1/3rd of kitchen aid. after purchase the company---spring chef contacted me. all spring chef has a lifetime warranty. i will be going through their other products page and see what i can order. GREAT QUALITY, LOW PRICE AND LIFETIME WARRANTY???????? DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT
