VERY easy to use! Great peace of mind when grilling or camping!
I LOVE this product! Connected right away. For those who exchange their propane tanks, can I offer my tip so you don't leave the sensor on the tank that you are exchanging.I put a bright colored Velcro strap that I wrote "Tank Sensor" with a marker. So far, it has served me as a good reminder to remove the sensor and the Velcro reminder strap before heading off to exchange the tank.

It’s ok
***Update***So out of crazy I guess I bought another one and guess what…it would not read the propane. It kept saying empty. I tried different propane tanks, changed the battery, cleaned the area, used the gel….nothing works. Great idea if only it worked. This was my 5th or 6th one I’ve bought and has had issues. The others were constant Bluetooth issues or battery would die within a week or two. I’m not sure if there is another product like this but better, but I’d rather go without now. I’ve wasted to much money on this over and over again for it to keep NOT working.**************I really want to love this product. It’s a great concept tbh! But I’ve purchased a total of 4 and all but one I’ve had issues with. Issues meaning the Bluetooth works for a couple of weeks and stops. I’ve contacted the company a couple of times and their solution is change out the battery. I’ve done that and had issues. Then they suggested energizer batteries. So I did that and it fixed one issue as of a week ago and now the Bluetooth is not working again. Ive tried resetting it. Reinstalling it. It doesn’t work. It’s pointless to contact the company because I’m sure they will suggest the battery and there is no reason a battery is dead after a week or two. I don’t even leave the app running in the background. So I’m at a loss and in the process of seeing if there is something else out there so I don’t have to deal with these anymore. It’s definitely gotten frustrating.again great concept…if it kept working.

Good product, especially for the price, even if a bit inaccurate
Overall I have been pleased with this Bluetooth propane tank meter. It was easy to set up and use, and the phone app was intuitive and simple to understand. I installed it on a 300 liter roof-top gas tank (yes roof top--that is how they do it overseas where I live :-). So it was way more convenient to check the digital meter rather than to have to climb up on the roof to check the analog meter on the tank itself. The main complaint I have is that the tank reader is not super accurate, but it does give you a ballpark idea. As mentioned, my gas tank has an analog meter on it, and I found that the digital meter actually differed by around 15% from the analog meter on the tank itself. The accuracy of the meter also depends a lot on the outside temperature (which is understandable due to how much the gas volume fluctuates with cold and hot temperatures). But I just knew that the gas tank was about 15% less than what the digital meter said, especially in cold weather. It kept me from having the tank run out in the winter, and having to climb on the roof in the winter, so it accomplished its purpose. Also, please note that the battery is supposed to last a full year according to the manufacturer's website, but I was only able to get about 7-8 months out of the battery. That really isn't too bad though for battery life for a Bluetooth device that is broadcasting continuously. But still, it is less than the recommended. Also, the battery level meter is not accurate at all. It reads really low in the winter (like 20%), but then shows the battery is like 60% when the weather heats up. So take the battery level reading with a grain of salt. But overall I am very pleased with this purchase, especially at only $40 when comparable ones are closer to $200. I would buy this again.

Gauge works on horizontal RV tank, with dielectric grease
The snap-on magnetic gauge on the Manchester propane tank that came with my RV stopped working after 11 years, and an identical replacement didn't work either, so the problem lies inside the tank, and I didn't want to have the tank repaired or replaced if there was a less labor-intensive solution. The Mopeka gauge, ordered from AP Products, is it. It costs about twice what the gauge that didn't work costs, but the ease of use makes it worth it. It uses ultrasound to measure the propane, and Bluetooth to communicate either with a dedicated little control device that you can get from the same source, or via a free downloadable cell phone app. I opted for the app. You can pair the gauge with more than one tank.My propane tank is mounted horizontally, and the app gives that as a setup option. You have to input the height of the tank.At first it registered empty, when I was pretty sure the tank was about 2/3 full. I think that's because, with a horizontal tank, the surface to which you apply the gauge is not flat. But the device comes with a little tube of "dielectric grease". Put a tiny dot of this on the gauge's sensor, and it works! Be sure to save the tube for repeated use -- it will be enough for many, many uses.I decided that the magnet, while sufficient for attachment while taking a reading, wouldn't withstand vibrations if left in place on the tank, and I don't want to duct-tape it to the tank, as another reviewer suggested. So I just keep it in a baggie with the tube of grease in the RV, and check it only occasionally, since the propane tank is not hard to reach. Be sure to wipe the bottom of the propane tank clean before using it, and close the app when you're not using it to save the device battery.
