A necessary use of cellophane.
The better quality is reusable but this is not. I’ve used this method of heat loss before & it works well. This size will only fit 1 of my windows. The tape needs pressing well in place.I’ve always left approx. 5cm unstuck at a top corner to ventilate the room enough. You’d need air to keep mildew out. I have 2 dehumidifiers as well & it doesn’t cost too much on a low setting.Gives a little heat off which is welcome.Eco air is by far the best brand & durable. Moisture can be trapped in the rooms without this causing mildew problems. It doesn’t go ‘on’ much but water still accumulates more than I thought.Ising a humidity sensor should between 45degrees & 60degrees. Any wooden furniture will dry out if too low. Damp if over the 60 degree mark. You need a 2nd pair of hands ideally to fit the cellophane ,or it could be difficult reaching the top of the widow frame.I have ‘so called’ double glazing, but condensation still forms below 16 degrees at the bottom length of the glass without this extra film. The hair dryer tighten all well if not over hot.A great way to save energy.

Works well but the tape is fiddly
This product almost fell at the first hurdle. Getting the backing off the double-sided tape, once you've stuck it to the window frame is really awkward, but once that's done, it's plain sailing, although hanging the shrink film is best done as a two-man job. With just a quick whisk over with a hair dryer, the film is now as taut as a drum and the draughty corner of my study is noticeably warmer.

Bought NOT for window- tent ground sheet
This is not a review for window seal, but having seen this used in forums for lightweight camping I thought I give it a go. Very easy to cut to you tent foot print. I did not use tie downs, so when layed down on on ground so light the slightest breeze moves and folds it. On soft grass it was fine for my tent. However when wild camping on slightly more rough ground, moors, holes were coming every on the sheet it was totally useless I guess gave it a go due to " influencers" on you tube/ forums. Tyvek works best.

Would not recommend. Film arrived holier than a colander
It's cheap and you get what you pay for. For me it was a waste of money. When it arrived the packaging was in perfect condition but when I took the film out of it it had massive holes through all the folded layers of the film that I presume were caused by someone sticking their thumbs through whilst packing it. I thought I'd persevere though and try and use the third of the film that didn't have big holes in it so I stuck it to the window. Application was fairly easy and the film did shrink to a smooth finish. Apart from a slightly opaque line right down the middle. There were also small holes in the file where it had been folded. Overall totally useless. I would recommend you buy a decent window film and avoid this one like the plague.

Constantly falls and leaves a really sticky residue
At first I thought it was a great idea, pretty easy to install, went nice and smooth using a hairdryer. By the next day however, it was half hanging off the window. Sticking it back down requires you to stretch it a lot because it was shrunk to size. It is then either wrinkly, or you can try to shrink it again, but as it hardly stretches to the tape again, it just isn't secure enough to hold.Despite the lack of staying power, once you actually want to remove it, the residue it leaves behind is incredibly sticky and gross and absolutely impossible to completely remove.Admittedly it seemed to keep some heat in, the property felt slightly warmer, but it just wasn't worth the hassle of resticking every other day and the stickiness it leaves.

Good insulation Product.
The film arrived next day. Well packaged and in perfect condition. There was plenty of double sided tape to go around the edge of the window with some left over. Can be fiddly to attach film to tape. Just a case of taking your time.Makes a big difference to the temperature of the room. We have a large window that is double glazed and cold air would blow through gaps. After attaching the film, we have noticed the room is much warmer and the heating is more effective. It can be annoying because once attached you can not open the windows. However, cheap enough to take off in the spring and buy more next winter.I would recommend.

Good value-for-money solution to help insulate single glazed windows
These seemed like the cheapest value for money plastic film solution for secondary glazing on amazon. Each pack even comes with a roll of double sided tape. When applied well you will not notice the internal film. I have a few tips to ensure the best results, coming after using 6 packs and multiple windows:1. Clean the floor before you cut! The film will pick up any dust/hair that is on the floor.2. Use a whiteboard marker, not a permanent one and just use dots to cut to rather than a solid line (as you have to clean of the pen before using it...)3. Get a good pair of sharp scissors. One pair I had kept on getting stuck, another just glided through.4. It is easier to 'oversize' the amount you need by a couple of cm, this will ensure adhesion to the tape. You can always trim the film down after it has been attached.5. Using a heat gun on low power (or hair dryer as they suggest) really does stretch the film removing the wrinkles. Be sure NOT to use it on the film that is attached to the tape around the edges, this will make it more likely to detach.6. It's helpful to have a roll of wide, clear sellotape - this can be used to patch holes if you heat to much or re-stick to the sides if the double sided tape fails.
