Great Hobbie knife! And package opener.
Love this small scalpel! I keep with me everywhere, open any package with ease. Blade is simple to remove, simply push the back end of the blade up with a thumb nail and with your other hand push the the blade over the locking edge and slide the blade out. I personally use a pair of locking vise grip on the endOf the blade once I have released the back end I pull it out with the plyers. THIS NOT A TOY, ALL KNIVES ARE NOT TOYS. IT IS SHARP ENOUGH TO CUT YOUR FINGER TO THE BONE.For the builder it is easy to keep on you, and use after you have lost your 4th exac-to knife on one of three benches, problem solved pull it and use it! I build giant rc aircraft down to very delicate 2mm foam planes. It has a lanyard opening as well.

Nice little knife
Nice knife. Blade that came with it are cheap and not super great but are still razor sharp just not high quality. New blades for it are dirt cheap though. Everything else about the knife is good! Feels sturdy. Might be real carbon fiber. Definitely light weight.

good for EDC keychain carry.
firs on a key chain well, sturdy for cuts. does not have a blade lock, but the detent lever holds well. actually made it thru a few metal detectors and wand passes with it.

Wow!
This thing is ridiculous. No, it's not a flipper. Yes, you have to open it with two hands like a 1980s buck knife and Yes, you need one! Even if all you do is slice a package open like a ninja then you get your money's worth. This is one of the slickest knives I own... Mainly due to the fact its a damn scalpel and it's a frkn huge cheat code!.. Get it. Blade freak or not you'll love it.

Ok
Perfect size. Blade is not as easy to open and close as was hoping.

Short of perfection.
Excellent fit, finish, and construction. The pivot is smooth. The spring is strong enough to prevent accidental opening and closing, but not hard to operate. One of the reasons I chose this knife over similar competitors is that the blade is trapped against accidental removal. There is a detent that holds the blade firmly at half open. This holds the blade in position for changing, but is also a safety against closing the knife on your fingers. The blade is easily removed deliberately, and standard replacement scalpel blades fit well. They are not hard to install by hand, but I recommend forceps or needle nosed pliers be used for safety.Design flaw loses a star. See photos. The blade can be depressed past it's closed position until the blade edge makes contact with the spine, causing a dull spot on the blade (arrow in photos). This does not happen when the knife is allowed to snap closed, or I would have deducted more.To prevent this from happening when packed or pocketed I modified the knife with an aluminum washer and epoxy. I ground the washer to the right dimensions and glued it to the inside of the knife handle to create a stop for the blade holder.A fundamental design requirement of every folding knife is that the blade edge cannot make contact with the frame when closed. I am pleased with the purchase, but would not be if the flaw had not been easily corrected.
