I have a wavy haired shitzu poodle mix. This is the best slicker brush I have used on him because of its small size and how gently it detangles his fur. I think the plastic nubs on the ends of the bristles really help it be more gentle, but it still detangles well and keeps him soft and fluffy.

Excellent quality and doesn’t scrape skin. Smaller for tiny dogs or pups but I use it in my bigger Maltese also!

Wish it were a little softer, we bought a different one with more give.

I like the design of this little slicker very much. The bristles are coated on the ends so they don't scratch or pull as much. I have a Pomeranian. If you've ever had a Pomeranian then you know how much they loathe brushing. Well, my girl actually tolerates this slicker very well! She lets me brush her without trying to growl and rip it from my hand or sit on it. That's a five star rating for me.
