for what i need perfect.
if your looking for a small belt / disc sander this is ideal. took no more than 30 mins to set up, bit of a tweak on belt adjustment and done. I haven't secured it down yet but thats only because need to find place for it, for its size it is quite heavy. When i swithced it on it was surprisingly quiet, was expecting it to be louder, the 6" disc uses adhesive type disc paper which in my opnion is better than the hook and loop type. the small table can be used on either the belt or disc just unscrew knob and place where you want to use it.the mitre slide does not lock down but for me thats not a problem and the table is made of cast aluminum which is flat and level. Not changed the belt sander yet but looks simple enough, put in upright position pull release lever remove two screws holding the belt tray and slide belt off. I do suggest using a shop vac when using it, it does throw a lot of dust. This machine is not massive but for the price i cant complain.

Does the job, good value
It sands things. You most definitely need dust extraction!!!! I use it outside with a vacuum tube firmly wedged into a cut-up funnel electrical-taped to the unit's dust extraction hole. The belt & disc will remove material very quickly from corners and edges of softwood. You'll need much more patience sanding the surface of a piece of hard wood. Applying too much pressure with a flat surface against the sanding belt can easily stop the belt. It doesn't work that well at making a non-flat surface flat - I think that's probably the wrong job for this type of tool.Overall I'm happy with it. As long as you know it's limitations its good value for money.

Good deal
Had this a couple of weeks now and have used it a few times, It has done everything I have asked it to do, Changing the belt is a bit fiddly having to remove the base plate but I can live with that, the dust extraction is what I would call fair but could de improved on, But overall it's a good machine for me the hobbyist and would buy another if needed

Works fine, quieter than expected
I’ve had a few sanders over the years, and they’re all pretty much the same, but this one does seem to be a lot quieter than any I’ve had in the past, which is nice when working early mornings.

Good For A Small Workshop
IT was a toss up between this and the Von Hauss, but this would come a week earlier, so plumped for this. I underestimated the 6 inch disc size as being adequate for my projects, however. I had hoped that sanding disc would be easily replacable, but the 80G it comes with is contact adhesived on, so once that is dead I will look at doing similar with a velcro interface pad so I can use my 3M Extract and Diablo sandnet 6 inch discs with it, and work out a way to get dust extraction from this part of the machine. Easy to set up - just a cople of bolts for the fences - but I do worry about how sturdy the fences will be in the long term as they are only held in place by a single bolt and simple pivot system on one side. Sanding belt didn't need re-aligning out the box for me, and has adequate dust collection hooked up to my Festool CT15. The unit itself is fairly compact, and doesn't take up much worktop space at all, so it's ideal for my small single car garage size shop, and it can easily be put away under a workbench.
