Super handy, will be buying more of the collection soon.
This little book is a stroke of genius. I have never tried any books like these before to assist in my D&D games, I am glad i got it, I wish I had gotten it sooner and I will be adding more of their books to my collection, not only is it useful but at times it is hilarious. Great work! If you are a DM that sometimes gets the occasion curve ball from your players, something like this may well help you deal with it and throw your own curveball right back at the players! Highly recommend to any DM/GM.

Amazing book but disappointing quality!
The book is great. Really excited to start using it in my DnD campaigns. The product came in poor quality, scuffed, ripped and marked on the front cover. But I contacted the company direct and even though the product came through Amazon, they sent me a new one direct from their warehouse! Great service, great book!

Excellent tool if your players go off the beaten path frequently and you have to improvise.
Even the most meticulous of dungeon masters will inevitably run into situations that they hadn’t thought of or prepared material for, as players always love to test the limits of the world. Say you need a side-story on short notice because you don't want to continue the main campaign when someone can't make the next session? This book has your back and you get to roll a bunch of dice to design everything, what's not to like about that?I also have the character kit version of this and it's also an excellent tool, both of these books would make thoughtful and excellent gifts for any DM. The character kit is also a very useful tool for DMs as it will allow them to generate characters with a lot of substance with a few dice rolls. This game master's book is more focused on the world and its encounters, organisations, events, critical hit/miss prompts and items and rewards. This is just a rough overview and it has lots of dice roll based tables for almost every situation. A couple of my favourite tables in here are the ones for hexes, curses, lasting injuries and alchemical misfires just to name a few of the many options in this book.Like the character toolkit version of this book there are a few oddities here and there as some of the options don't always fit neatly into a high-fantasy world. Although it's quite easy to add your own twists and flair onto the option you roll, using these books as an inspirational tool is very useful if you get stuck from time to time. The book itself is spiral bound and printed flawlessly onto nice thick paper pages filled with nice looking and colourful illustrations that are directly related to the topics in the book. No problems recommending it at all.

Great fun resource for any DM
This little book is full of great resources for and DM and comes in handy when your PC's inevitably go off in a random direction and you haven't exactly planned for it. Also the critical miss tables add a bit of spice to the combat

Very useful for when players throw curveballs!
Anyone that has DMed knows that, despite your best attempts, that players can really throw your adventure off course when they decide they are more interested in following a path that you aren’t prepared for. This is where being able to think on the fly is key, but sometimes you can be stumped and don’t want to rehash the same ideas that you’ve come up with before. This book comes in handy here, because it gives you enough ideas to serve as seeds for your own storytelling. I wouldn’t say that these do it all for you, but they do cover enough ground and give you enough ideas to get you out of a narrative hole. For the most part, I thought the book was really great, with only the section on food and drink seeming out of place, as the suggestions all sounded like something from a 21st century picnic, rather than a cod-medieval fantasy adventure. I get that fantasy role play is escapism and sometimes wish-fulfilment and doesn’t need to reflect the food stuffs of a particular time and place - even Tolkien was anachronistic, but that section really stood out for me. I’m not going to mark it down for my pedantry though, because the rest of the book is so good.Obviously, this book is best suited for fantasy roleplay and might be of interest for those running games in other genres, but in reality it’s going to get used with the most well-known role playing game out there.

Not what I thought it would be...
I must admit that I mistakenly ordered Roll & Play: The Game Master’s Fantasy Toolkit, thinking it was a tool for character development in storytelling. However, upon realising that it is related to Dungeons and Dragons, I decided to give it a 5-star rating as it wouldn't be fair to judge it negatively based on my own error. For those who are into Dungeons and Dragons or similar role-playing games, this toolkit is likely to be a valuable addition to their gaming experience. Although it may not have been what I initially intended, I can appreciate the depth and detail that has gone into this toolkit. It seems to be a well-crafted resource that can enhance the gameplay and storytelling aspects for dedicated Dungeons and Dragons enthusiasts. Please note that my rating is based on the product's intended purpose and not my personal needs. If you are a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, I believe Roll & Play: The Game Master’s Fantasy Toolkit would be a worthwhile investment to enhance your gaming adventures.
