Works with Lorex NVR from Costco
my $800 Lorex security camera system would not power up. I used a digital Multi meter and verified the PSU had 48v coming from the DC end of the adapter. But when plugged into the NVR, the voltage dropped to mili-volts. I ordered this as a replacement and it connected to the jack and worked perfect. Now I'm back up and running. This power supply seems to be better quality the the original one that came with it due to the size of the brick being smaller as well as the velcro cable tie accessory to tie up unused cord length.

Good for Lorex CPU
Replacement for a Lorex N842. The old unit was getting excessively hot, this one's cooler and probably has better electronics.

Lorex NVR compatible
My Lorex NVR was dead... would not power up. Googled some possible causes and the power brick was the top cause. Luckily this one was available, the only difference being the OEM said 2 amps while this one said 1.88 amps. Maybe the OEM rounded up, either way this one is working and my NVR is up and running again. Will update this review if anything changes.

Good 48Vdc PS replacement for Lorex security system.
My Lorex security system went dark and after watching a few YouTube videos I suspected it was the power supply. This 48Vdc power supply was exactly what I needed. Plugged it in the security system came back online.
