Complicated
It wasn't easy to install and how the lock works took me weeks to figure out. So... the up/down button is to lock the lock in place. You can lock it to keep the lock on and off. Turn the knob and then press down to get in and out of your house, press up for the lock to come out so you can lock it. When its locked in press the button down to keep it locked. If that makes any sense you'll be fine.

Prime line is usually make good products
Purchased because Prime line usually makes good products but they missed on this lock. Kwikset keyway but can not repin with KS pins, they are in between sized. Clip that holds key way in is a bear to remove, have to bend to get it off then tap to get back on. I would not recommend unless you can find no other to work

don't waste your time.
got this from home depot to replace a similar one that i didn't have a key for. the manual is trash. it tells you to use pliers to bend/cut a couple screws and key piece depending on how thick your door is...it's not nearly as simple as that. i had to bust out the dremel to make cuts, as the pliers were only bending and stretching the thing. long story short, once i finally got it installed, it locked/unlocked fine for a day (used twice), and on the third entry the key wouldn't turn all the way. i tried all forms of jiggling and yanking...nothing. it'd only get about 150 degrees and that's it. ended up having to bust the door jam. bummer.
