Made Southern Italy style fava soup. Tastes pretty good. I cooked it a bit too long but avoided turning it into mush.

If There's Dust in the Bag Throw it Out
I do not like to give a negative review but the package I received had insects in it. The first clue was fine sawdust in the bag. I have used split fava beans too many times to count to make pasta e fagiole, so I am familiar with this product. Some of the beans had tiny holes in them. I cut one open and was horrified to see a live insect appear from the cut bean. Upon further inspection, there were more. I will not buy this product again.

Pictures provided on website state "Product of Australia". On the package I received, this statement was missing. Called distributor's customer service and left a message; however, they never called me back. These beans could have been in grown anywhere...
