This battery worked well. Too soon to tell how long it will last or how often it will recharge.

ExpertPower 2 x 3.6v 1300mAh NiCd Battery for Black & Decker: The batteries I bought from vendor ExpertPower replaced B&D VP100 (part # 151995-03) that came with a cordless drill bought in the 1990s. They fit properly in the drill and the charger and are powering the drill. I have not used them enough times to know how well they retain the charge.

Charges as described on appropriate chargers and powers my handheld screwdriver. Good price.

Found my old snake light and battery woult charge. This was perfect replacement and works nicely.

I purchased these batteries and charger to use with my Black & Decker VP730 Type 2 screwdriver, which is at least 20 years old. It is my favorite electric screwdriver because of its smaller size and easy to set torque. I’ve replaced batteries several times, but recently the original B&D charger began to fail. These batteries fit more snugly in the screwdriver than the original B&D batteries, but are not difficult to insert or remove. This is a positive feature because they are less likely to fall out if the release is accidentally pressed. The charger is not a “smart” charger as noted in other reviews, but neither was the original B&D charger. There is a label attached to the charger giving a recommended charge time of 6.5 to 8.5 hours for the 1.3 Ah batteries. After inserting the batteries, I just set a timer on my iPhone like I used to do with the original charger. I cannot attest to the battery runtime yet, but I doubt it will be less than any previous battery I have used.

Works as good as I could've hoped for! It is a bit of a snug fit in the tools that I have but that isn't an issue at all. And with the supplied charger the batteries seem to charge pretty quickly too! In fact I will probably buy a second set to keep as a back up, {Always good to have extra juice when you need it!} Oh and its cheaper to buy these new than to have the old batteries reconditioned.

You plug in 1 or 2 batteries and corresponding red lights come on show the battery is being charged. Thatis the best thing I can say about it. Unlike 95% of battery chargers on the planet this does NOT shut offwhen battery is done charging. You must read the amperage of the battery and then look at the smallchart on the charger to see how long to charge them. I imagine if you left them charging too long thewhole thing would blow up! The SMALL instruction sheet talks about every thing you don't need to know. Itdoes state batteries should be fully discharged. Only way I can do that is plug in into the device whichhopefully has an ON switch that stays on without having to hold it in manually. I haven't received the B&Dscrewdriver yet so I won't know until I receive it. DO NOT BUY this item, it is truly a JOKE!!!!!
